I actually have this as my writing grip and never knew it was Vaxei's grip, I just saw him griping it with his index and middle fingers

My friend grew up using this grip his entire life, for not just writing, but also using utensils, and everything else. I tried it for writing, and couldn't go back. It is such a great grip in terms of comfortability and stability.

I use Yonex badminton grip which is essentially the exact same thing (www.amazon.ca/Yonex-Super-Grap-Tenis-Overgrip/dp/B004W60K08/ref=asc_df_B004W60K08/?tag=googlemobshop-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=337173420941&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=13856833404063805536&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9001467&hvtargid=pla-527667750378&psc=1). Vaxei uses Tourna grip tape (www.amazon.ca/Tourna-Grip-Original-Feel-Tennis/dp/B0006PRN86/ref=asc_df_B0006PRN86/?tag=googlemobshop-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=292975727911&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=9205981444325194566&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9001467&hvtargid=pla-575053308392&psc=1), which is a tennis racket grip. There is no real difference between the the two, except that tennis racket grips are slightly thicker and longer than badminton grip tapes. Hope that helps

Thank you! Vaxei grip is the most stable and comfortable grip I've found, but my thumb lost blood circulation, but now it never happens!

Vaxei's grip being "for big hands only" do kinda make sense in a way. If you have big hands the placement on your ring finger won't be a problem, cause the whole grip basically resides on the ring finger, if the pen slips from your ring finger it basically means your screwed. The grip is viable just play with it. Angles and such.

Bro u saved me no cap, I was struggling a lot with my old grip and I decided to change to the vaxei grip but I was doing at the wrong way and my movements got so restricted bcz of that exactly as u said and then I fix the grip with ur advices and now it fits really comfortable in my hand so thank you so much!!!

I just started tablet a few days back, and every day I've been trying to find a good grip, but nothing feels good. This is the first grip that actually feels really good on my hand (my thumb is dead tho lol) and I think I'm gonna use this!

my fingers are literally *too* long for this grip... when I try and place my middle/index finger onto the pen, they either have to be place comically lower to where my thumb is, or be wrapped around the pen to the point that the top joint of my middle finger is basically touching the pen

Try getting used to it by switching your writing grip to it. Play around with angles and finger positioning; everyone's hands are different so see what's comfortable for you!

You might have just keep practicing, since this grip only gets comfortable with more use. If your thumb has never stretched like this before, it will take a little bit of time to adjust. Perfectly normal. However, if it's painful, you should take a break, and come back to it later. This is just your thumb stretching and adjusting itself to this position. Practice makes perfect with this grip since your fingers need to adjust to being in this unnatural position. If you have any other concerns, let me know so I can reach out and help!

Having a pen beetween middle and ring finger is so unnatural idk why Vaxei decided thats a good idea to change it. I can't even properly hold it like that without pain, aim with this is impossible lol

yeah, especially when you have never used such a grip, it can be quite the adjustment. vaxei always rested the pen between the two knuckles on his fingers so for him it was not a big change switching from resting the pen on his index to his middle i guess. if its something thats new to you, it just takes a lot of practice if you're willing.

Sorry for the late reply. Yeah, you might lose sensitivity in the thumb from the pen pinching the nerves. Over time you can get used to it, but it is normal

It is impossible. I'm actually pretty sure that Vaxei changed his grip again, hence why he's not using a handcam yet.

@@senovalplease735 I knew that he played on Ed's setup but I wasen't aware that it was recorded, thanks for letting me know. I just watched it, and unfortunately it only shows the back of his hand, so it's impossible to see what grip he's using. The only change I saw is that he is aiming more upwards, using his wrist way more, and that hes playing on a bigger area. He's still holding the pen in the web space, so maybe he's just altered his previous grip. I just don't understand how he's able to move his wrist like that. I feel like that would hurt over time xd

@@lmarcel Hm. Sorry, I'm trying to picture it but its pretty hard. Maybe try moving the pen slightly further up the ring finger joint. Try bringing your pinkie back more so its not completely squished by your ring finger. Also, just relax your hand. Sounds like your gripping the pen too tight.

It is badminton grip tape.
