⁠@@TheLawnSauceHow would the Milwaukee Brush Tool Attachment work compared to the Rotary Scissors. The seem similar except the Milwaukee Attachment has less blades

@@apilkey Comparing the mechanics of the two, the brush cutter attachment uses a wracking motion much like the string trimmer attachment to chop off what it’s cutting. The rotary scissors attachment uses two blades rotations in opposing directions so the mechanical action is like cutting with a scissors. The brush cutter attachment is very primal in nature and is meant for rough cutting brush really quicky by hacking at it with a solid metal blade. The rotary scissors is for precise clean cuts. There is no way that I would take the brush cutter to a fine turf grass. Hope that makes sense.

@@TheLawnSauce Thanks yes that makes sense, I just bought the Milwaukee Trimmer and I’m also going to get the Edger Attachment. Was hoping the Brush Cutter Attachment would also help me get some nice edges but I guess not. Hopefully with just the two attachments it’ll look good and I won’t also have to get some Rotary Scissors. But would you say if I got the Rotary Scissors I wouldn’t need the Edger Attachment?

@@apilkey I think the string trimmer and edger attachment will cover all of your needs. I will never use the rotary scissors for the edging because it pretty harsh on the blades. Often times when edging, you’re digging into dirt where small rocks and dirt will dull and mess up the rotary scissors blades. For this reason, I prefer using the dedicated stick edger attachment. So on the edges of lawn, you may often have to trim the height of the grass blades and that’s where the string trimmer comes in. For my lawn, I use a reel mower with leaves a very straight and clean cut on the top of the grass blades. When I use the string trimmer to cut off some of bulk height of the edges, I can see a haze on the edge of my lawn left from the string trimmer. The haze is from scar tissue on the grass blade left from the wacking/shredding action of the string trimmer. This is where you might want to step up your game and invest in the rotary scissors. I compare the cut quality of the rotary scissors to a reel mowed cut. I compare the cut quality of a string trimmer to a traditional rotary mower cut as both use a wacking motion to cut the grass, often times leaving the tips of the grass blades slightly shredded.

They work great.. especially if you're reel mowing. It leaves a super clean cut, like a scissors.. No more shredded grass blade scars that can affect the color and health of the lawn. Also it doesn't fling rocks and crap so you can trim right up against parked cars and not have to worry about damaging other peoples property.

The edger attachment is excellent. I have an 1100sq ft lawn also. I really enjoy using both the edger attachment and the power rotary scissors.

The sleeve adapter came with the rotary scissors head.

Good question. Unlike the rotary scissors, the brush cutter is a blunt force chopping blade made for taking down tall stalks of brush. The rotary scissors cuts clean like scissors, leaving a super fine cut on the blades of grass. I reel mow, and the rotary scissors cuts super clean so it pairs nicely with the rotary scissors.

Hi Ed, good question. the shaft adaptor doesn't fit in the hole of the plastic bushing. You wont be able to slide the shaft completely into the IDECH head. I see your point for structural integrity however, metal sleeve adaptor and sturdy body of the IDECH head will actually reinforce the outer tubing of the extender shaft. Its actually moot point.

@@TheLawnSauce ok, thanks. Just hard to see just how it wouldn't fit together from camera view. It's not your filming, it's just the way it is. If I was flipping it around in my hands, I'd be better able to say yes or no.

@@TheLawnSauce It looks like there is plenty of shaft sticking out from the bushing that the adapter does not need to enter the bushing. By leaving the bushing, the first screw has less of a chance of compressing the shaft when tightening. Also could pull the bushing out to drill hole big enough for the adapter to fit in as well. I purchased the pole saw first that comes with adaptor, so instead of getting trimmer and edger, convert the rotary scissors to handle both jobs for less. ✌🏽

I don’t know if there are two different sizes, but I know for sure it’s bigger than 8”.

Hi yes is 18v enough power??!!

It's been a few months now and it's holding up great. I haven't had to adjust it once. I do plan on greasing it up in a couple of months, but other than that, no problems.

What speed do you use it on? Rabbit or Turtle?

I tried both mode. Even put more grease but still doing the same.

Its pricey for sure!
