Here's How To Add a Product On Amazon WITHOUT a Product ID. Many Amazon FBA sellers believe you have to purchase a UPC/EAN for each product and variation you have. However, they are unaware that you can apply for a GTIN Exemption or Global Trade Item Number Exemption to get around this. If you don't mind selling a product with a generic brand, you're in luck.

You have no idea how much this video just opened up more opportunities for me. I've been selling on Amazon for about 8 years but high volume for the past 2 years. I had so many issues with adding products that had a UPC code on the product already but most times would run into some issue. THANK YOU for making this video. Thank you SO MUCH for making this video. I just lost time with Amazon Support on approving my UPC codes which were from GS1 but after another company's name (different GS1 Prefix which wasn't registered for selling in Europe). Hi ! I followed the steps and applied for the GTIN and got approved, but my next question is , I’m doing FBM at the moment. Will I still be able to do gtin? And also I bought products and I scanned the sku it’s the same product but different packaging can I still list under that or what do you recommend? Should I just make a new listing? I’m doing arbitrage at the moment and all the videos I see as fbm are just listing off the products already listed . I’d really love your advice and insight!

Hi. So the exemption has nothing to do if you have a registered brand or not? Meaning, let’s say I want to do private label but didn’t register it yet, can I go ahead and get a gs1 code and register with Amazon? Or better to get an exemption and add it without the code ?

For example if im creating a new listing on amazon , i put 3 different types of advent calender and 1 christmas basket as a bundle and add the item as generic > i can do that right ? Hi Josh, I am trying to resell a product, which is not listed in Amazon catalogue. The UPC and EAN codes have been verified with GS1 database, but still cannot add in Amazon catalogue. If I apply for GS1 exemption for a brand name it gives error code 5461. Can I mention brand as generic and apply for GS1 exemption for the same product? Thanks

Hey we are based in uk, And trying to sell some products from us (as well fro other countries). We have run into an issue with listing branded products. Most of the times we can’t list product that are listed in USA using same ASIN number. But we can’t create a new listing too as we get brand copywrite issue and listing get removed. But 2ce we did manage to create listing anyway using editing asin. And a bit confused now why sometimes we manage to create listings and how to create listing for products that are not listed on Amazon yet. Would be great if you could shed a light on it. Hi Josh, I have brand name approval and gtin exemption. but when the listing i try to create keep going to drafts. it also keeps highliten teh Porudct ID.i dont have to fill that. also give me this messagein teh draft. "There is no record of the SKU corresponding to this update on your account. This commonly occurs when there are other issues on your SKU." I created a listing with teh same title and it gave errors and delete it and then i used gs1 and caused issu and i deleted this. I deleted 2 SSKUs( that had teh same product title. The last listing I am trying to create has teh same title as I cannot change the title. what is this mean and how to resolve this please? appreciate your help please. Why when I type "Generic" into Brand/Publisher do I get the error : "1 of 1 Brands are not eligible for exemption The brand you have provided requires a barcode (GTIN/UPC/EAN/ISBN) to list on Amazon. If you do not have a barcode for the product, you will find it on the packaging and/or back cover of your item." Any help appreciated

I have applied to GTIN exemption (for my brand name under clothing category) and i got approved and when i started to list my first product i got another error 5461 says i'm not eligible to add products. I went throw application and gave all the proves and they replied that my brand name (that was approved on the GTIN exemption) is not selling clothing category. I don't know where is the problem since i applied for the exemption for the clothing category? pls advise
