The A5 is my first car I paid for myself and I’ve done so much with it because of the confidence you’ve given me along the way. I just ordered all my parts for this project I can’t wait to start :) I’ve never worked with fiberglass before but I think I might have to give it a go with the sub box. @@brucecustommotors how did you connect the wire to the fuse? I tried every fuse back there and the amp still turned on. I must be doing something wrong

@@brucecustommotors I f**ked up and my MMI turns off after 10 seconds of starting. I think I got copper wire stuck inside the fuse panel. I’m so stupid 😭🤦🏻‍♂️

Got everything working again. Only issue is I have the B8.5 and there are 0 fuses that shut off in the rear. I found one fuse up front that turns off with the car hopefully I can get it to work on there 😅

I'm jumping in the Audi scene coming from a lifetime of mustangs. I'm eating up and consuming as much audi info as possible. You're channel, by far, shows a more diversity of things you can do to these cars. This is something I never thought I would want to do on my car, but for sure will. I'm looking forward to getting my b8 "facelift" next week.

i wish we had a youtuber like you thats as dedicated to my line of car which is the a3 8p i'm an audi technician and have built a lot of different a4's, a6's a8l's s4's and now my current car is an a3, due to it being such a nimble light weight track machine, but i still dont know everything, and i like to see other peoples point of view on these cars, and the inside of your a5 looks sick af lo, anyway, make me one of those dash kits you got for my a3 please lol

Hey Bruce. I don’t have an amplifier in the trunk of my A5 facelift sportsback B8.5 MMI 3G plus. Is that built into the module? No B&O bit as I have got a sub woofer option I am thinking amp is built into the head unit? Can I install this and make it use an external amp?

I recently had my aftermarket sub installed. The shop tapped my sub lines to the LOC. RCAs to sub of course. When we turn the gain on the on the LOC passed half way the speakers has a humming noise coming from them. I've read it could be the ANC active noise cancellation or that I need to get a DSP. This for an 2018 Audi A6 with Bose.

Hey all! So I was wondering I have a 2014 Audi A5 with the B/O sound system. I am planning on upgrading to all kicker system and subs. I have a 1800w amp and will not be using the factory amp. Will my alternator be enough for it to work and not mess with any of the Audi electronics?

Yes I am , I wonder if I taped some factory’s to the external amp, what it was sound like but. The system has so much bass now it’s excellent

Just run a line out from your sub amp to a 4 channel amp. Hook up hot,ground,remote. Run speaker wire to speakers and Itl will power all your other door speakers. My a7 is a concert on wheels.

Got it done!!! I got stuck getting the speaker wire from the OEM sub to the trunk. And I never found a remote fuse. I ended up connecting to the radio fuse. Lastly I also did the bass volume knob and installed it in the armrest. Thanks for making this vid! IE Stage 1 and IE intake arrive some time today!!!

Hey i just installed mine in yesterday but when i got done to turn on car after about 2/3hrs the car wouldnt start everything works inside just it won’t fire up but when i try to push/start it it comes on but no start but makes clicking noise like battery is dead 🧐🧐 do i need to jump it or since i disconnected the battery for a while it needs to be recoded??

Sounds like you plugged the amp into a fuse that always had power and killed your battery/ Lmk if that’s right

You realize if you run your stock subwoofer and keep it pluggrd in and run the positive and the negative, to a 2 channel output box and it'll have a blue cord already to use.

I have a B8 a4 and did the same thing with similar components. The main difference is that I got an amp with high level inputs so I didnt need the speaker to RCA module (simply run the factory speaker wire to the amp) and the amp has signal sensing so I didn't need to go into the fuse box. Also, I found a sub that is a 10inch shallow mount that can run free air so I was able to hang it right in the factory cutout (the factory cut out for factory 8 is actually much bigger than 8 inches and accommodates a 10 perfectly).

Hello everyone, I have a 2015 Audi A1 and I want to add a subwoofer in it. But how ? I have the Concert sound system, and I don't know how to give the music signal to the sub. I tried to put a splitter on my 3.5mm jack, then plug it to the aux on the radio and to the sub's amplifier. It works great for the sub but not for the radio, there are a lot of noises. When I unplug the sub, the noises disappear. Do you have an idea of where it comes from, and a solution ? Thanks P.S. I'm french, sorry for language mistakes🥲

So i can just remove the factory subwoofer wire positive & negative wires and hook it up to aftermarket subwoofer 🔊 and it would thump!?!? Without aftermarket amplifier?

It would be an improvement, from factory, but don’t get a speaker to powerful, or you won’t get it to react, the speaker I have is 11000 wats which is why I need an amplifier. But if you won’t to blow pictures off the wall get an amp, but as you can see from the video it works with out an amp
