aquascape beneficial bacteria works well, just follow the directions on the bottle.😀

as long as its above 35 degrees consistently you swill be good to go. that's one if the reason why I mix the beneficial bacteria is warm water, it mixes better and won't kill the bacteria. thanks for your question 👍

Opening pond or when adding water

Most good beneficial bacteria products will have directions right on the container. It will outline for you how much to add each week/month. In my experience, you can never have too much beneficial bacteria in your pond, so it would be difficult to overdose 😀

Thank you for your question. The pond water is actually crystal clear and the darkness you see is twilight blue pond dye that i use religiously. @@reefpondwise8519 is it working well for algae? I live in Florida and i have a lot of algae due to water high temperature despite my water cooler it keeps around 85f. Plus a lot of sun light. I have a cover for the pond. If not would be worse. I have snails and shrimps. A turtle and 12 gold fish that also eat some algae. In the morning it's little algae but it grows until the end of the day. Can't wait for winter...

Each video is 3 to 4 minutes. I'll be posting a video this week about what a balanced ecosystem and good (managed) algae looks like.

WOW! Thanks for sharing! That pond looks amazing! The ecosystem, from what I see is absolutely Marvelous. You have great water movement and the algae looks like it's under control. I wouldn't make any changes other than maybe shading the pond a bit more especially next to that turtle platform where the algae is growing close to the surface. Perhaps some more pond plants that can shade that area. Do you dose beneficial bacteria and do water changes?

@@reefpondwise8519 here rains a lot, so i don't do water changes. When the water reaches the highest level that i want, there's pipes that let the water run out of the pond. Plus once a week if no rain, i replenish the evaporation, like 2 to 3 inches. I used to vacuum the bottom once in a while when i had only the turtle but now with shrimps and snails i don't do any more. Beneficial bacterias i add the amount by pond gallons that comes with instructions for use. My pond is 4000 gallons. I buy the smaller that aquascape sells and last a good time. Thank you for teaching all the ways to get the pond going. When i told to my son i would build a pond with retaining walls and glass window he laugh for a week. I did all watching youtubers explanations. Lots of hard work but i looked to the growing turtle in a 50 gallon tank....💗💗💗 Didn't quit. My turtle love the pond and all people. He comes to everyone visiting. Very sociable.
