Thanks Garrie! I sincerely appreciate it. Is there anything you'd like me to talk about in a future video?

Great tip about tasting 3 times a day. I like the hanging bag technique. A follow up tasting update would be cool. Loving the content 🤘

Appreciate it livinginaterminalstate! Feedback is the biggest motivation with all this haha. Is there any subject you'd like to see covered or a tutorial done on?

Anything beer related really I know a bit about what hops to use but apart from that know very little about brewing, I hear lagers are tougher to brew so a good pilsner or helles tutorial would be cool, thanks

Really good video, thank you for it. What about amount of coffee? How much coffee(g/L) for beer?

loving the videos, great insight. Keep them coming. Would ove to see you dryhop a big, hoppy beer. Maybe something about cleaning and CIP. My last one though, how you price a beer. Many thanks

All really great ideas Tom. Thanks for the encouragement. Had some criticism today lol -- as to be expected-- but ill make sure to cover all three at some point.

@@michaelbrews I wouldn't worry about any criticism. I'm a keen homebrewer and watch loads of vids for inspiration, tips and techniques etc. I really appreciate anyone who has the time to show how they do it, particularly in this case where you also have a business to run. Keep up the great work!

Dude sincerely thank you. I worked in a homebrew shop out in Georgetown WA for a while back in 2015 and saw all sorts of interesting choices haha. Elysian would buy yeast for experimental stuff from us. There are lots of methods and brulosophy brings up super interesting perspectives.

Isn't it possible that you get an infection from the coffee itself? This is what scares me about adding ingredients that aren't sanitized themselves. You can't do a tincture as a brewery, correct?

That is a very fair and reasonable fear, but typically something like roasted coffee doesn't carry a lot of risk. It comes from a vacuum sealed container, it's going into a bacteria averse environment, it is kept cold, the majority of the fermentable sugars are gone, and there is an element of alcohol. We don't get infections from dry hopping, and honestly I haven't had an infection occur from coffee additions like this. I do cocoa nibs the same way. However, I would never add ingredients like this post boil, cooled wort, prior to fermentation. There is sugar, oxygen, and not enough yeast to out compete in those conditions. Sorry for the novel, but I wouldn't freak out too much about something like this. I've done tinctures as well, but don't like adding the alcohol to the finished beer personally. Hope that helps! (there's more than one way to execute coffee -- cold brew works great too!)

Have you tried this with tea? Have a nice day. Cheers from Norway

Geir, I've never tried it with tea but that could be pretty fun. Same concept as an iced tea right? Realistically you could probably do it in the mash as well, or in the mash run off. Maybe something fun to try in a 10 gallon batch! Thanks again man!
