Jimmy the plumber takes you through the process of adding inhibitor into your heating system via the feed and expansion tank (F & E Tank) in your loft. As you'll see, this process is relatively easy, but it does require a bit of climbing in and out of the loft!
Central heating inhibitor is a liquid you add to your heating system to help stop the build up of limescale and corrosion inside the radiators and towel rails.
Without it, internal corrosion can cause tiny fragments of metal to break off into your pipework and radiators. The fragments often congregate in the bottom of radiators which often results in the common problem of a radiator with hot and cold patches.
