It does not matter how cold you set your AC all year. Freon is in a vacuum sealed system and turning the AC on full blast does not waste your AC. Only if you have a freon leak in your system that you will need to recharge your freon. Same thing for your house ac, you don't need to recharge your house "freon" ever, unless there's a leak. It's best to find the leak for yourself and the environment. There's even freon cans that come with a dye to help you spot the leak. Good luck

Just not blowing those frosty kisses at me anymore. 😂🤣 *UPDATE - OK Y'ALL, I went back and did exactly as he said. It was super easy. I let the car idle for about 8 minutes after the "refill", and there was a noticeable difference in the temperature from the before, and after. THANK YOU MIKE'S AUTO!

Did you put yor fan speed to full blow. And is it just 45 pound pressure regardless of outside temperature ? Because the guage shows up to 50 in 90°+ temp.

Thanks for the video and for your common sense, plain English type approach. It's good that I don't have to be a master mechanic to understand what you mean. I used your method on my truck and it worked perfectly. But, I have a 2010 altima that I had recharged before and it worked for a few months then stopped. I let the pressure off until it gets to almost zero, but then as soon as I get maybe a quarter of a can in it, it already shows in the red! My clutch in the middle of my compressor is not spinning. Does it have to have a certain level of Freon to kick on or am I looking at a new compressor or clutch? I hope not, don't really have the money to toss. I've checked little 10 amp fuse and it looks good.

Mike iv got a duel ac on my 2013 altama 3.5 u can set passenger separate. Well I added half can no change passenger side got cooler than driver's side. But it had blue dye all in system.when I added some. Head pressure was little high.takes forever for air to cool little if any

Can do this on any vehicle their is a high snd low port the hose connector will NOT fit on the HIGH side you can actually b4 doing this open HIGH side take a rag snd flat head screw driver and push on the valve and taie all the air out its same as they do @ shop when they suck tge air ouy b4 refilling use a rag incase freon does come out dont want that on you or in the outside air. Put ca0 back on then attach to LOW port should have a stcker under hood jow much to put in or google it. Turn the A/C on high when doing all this and fill until you reach the degree 35-40 can definitely it se one can 1st wiith dye in incase have a leak can detect then with black light they sell them now like a flash light lot cheaper than auto repair or dealer. Just extra for anyone DIY. HOPE IT HELPS . IVE DONE SEVERAL AND THE HOSE IS REUSEABLE . GOOD LUCK!

I'm a female and I have a 2008 Nissan Altima SE 3.6 V6 and my car AC just blows out hot air and I live in Texas where it's 103° today lol so yeah. My question is can I use the same one as you are using? And also is it ok to use a less expensive freon kit?

I think I'm going to have to replace the Schrader valve in my port first because I pushed it to one side to see if I had pressure in the line and it bent.

Hello I have an A/C issue with my 2010 Altima. Compressor clutch stays engaged all the time and the A/C does not cool down enough, just very little bit. There is A/C gas inside. I can not find the A/C compressor relay. Have any idea I can check and fix?

So this is to be done with the car on? I just left Valvoline in Pooler, Ga and my car was off while they tested and added 13oz of freeon. He then asked me to start my car to see if my ac would blow cold air. It did but I feel overcharged for that service. 😢
