In any sport or activity requiring precision and accuracy, there is one critical position that starts the chain of motion. The elite players are the ones able to repeat these positions day in and day out.

@ron rambo kim I’ve been struggling to find the right position, mostly with how much forearm to have on the desk. Any recommendation? Mainly play fortnite so there’s lots of fast and sweeping motions. My issue having more forearm on desk is increased friction making it harder to pull the mouse back towards me. I know I need to stop changing my position and stick with one but I can’t decide:( any help much appreciated!

I preach about this to everyone. This is why I like aim trainers because muscle memory trains your reflexes; being in the situation or a theory of it lets "training" take over and lets the skill you've worked on be fluent. Like a soccer player kicking a ball down the field to another player; very fluent, looking.

NOTES - Sports require a consistent position that consists of many different aspects which consolidate into 1 smooth "stance" (ex. golf swing stance) - Apply this concept to your "stance" before you start your gaming session - This takes time to finetune to find your perfect position to get world-class muscle memory - Be aware of how your body is positioned whenever you feel like you are playing your best and try to replicate

Hi rambo,I've been curious about something over the years I've played fps games ( started in 2009 with a random facebook game called UberStrike,then I stopped playing it for a couple years because I found an MMO I liked and had a bunch of friends on it,then I moved onto TF2 in 2014 and for 3 years exclusively played it for about 6 hours a day. Then I found CSGO in 2017 and changed that to my main game for another 3 years until we reach today,I am now moved on to valorant and can finally explain the weird feelings I get often,which is when I focus I tend to "disconnect" from my aim and I just subconsciously "auto aim" horribly while I try to find people on my screen to shoot at,or try to hear footsteps. Is there anything I can do? I always feel as if my aim cannot follow my eyes at all a lot of the time.

Opywop this guy uses Kovaak’s lmao. But yes, muscle memory isn’t as important as feel/control. Using golf as an example, each time a golfer hits a ball, they most likely have never tried to hit the exact same shot before. There is no “muscle memory” of the swing. The golfer knows intuitively how much force needs to be applied, essentially they can feel it. Give a world class golfer a different club, and they are still well above the level of an average golfer, in spite of the fact that this new club is unfamiliar, this feel that they have allows them to succeed. After a few attempts and shots, most likely they will have calibrated their feel to the new club. Aiming is similar. Each sense is a different club, and the aimed whi has superior mouse feel/control can adapt quickly and succeed in spite of it interfering with “muscle memory.”

Whether you want to start or not is entirely your decision. Actually, success in almost all games is always about the time you can invest in the game and of course a little talent. 60Hz is fine, but if you have the money for a 144Hz monitor I would definitely recommend it. Of course the rest of your hardware should be able to reach the 144 fps in the game.

YES YES, but how? It's the main problem of aiming! It takes 20 minutes or 1 hour to find my position, and I'm not doing it right. What's the technique to position chair at a certain angle to the desk? I've tried angling the desk which works better for consistency, but If playing somewhere else, angling desk is not an option(but heights and distances must be adjusted). How to make that easily repeatable? I really don't want to change position as the one I found feels super good.

Muscle memory for aiming is a fad. A player with good mouse control will be able to change their sensitivity and mouse without any significant problems, so long as they don't go into extremes. Thank you for video. How it corresponds to CTS (Carpal tunnel syndrome), which could be median problem for long time usage of computer terminals? Personally I am not able to use mouse and keyboard without proper wrist support for more than few days. Tip: military aiming is centered at body torso with fired 2 rounds at 50-200 meters(~yards), single round above 200 meters and 3 rounds foresight-only aimed rounds below 30m. Such game accurate shooting with side movements is a pure joke. Post Scriptum: gaming is not a good idea - mostly it is a waste of time, like television once. Game industries aims are: -keep adults in childhood stage for some set of products sale (GPGPU, lego-PC's, ASG's, electronics gadgets, et cetera), -making childs stupe, -view of reality in very simplified way, -algorithms tuning, and statistics social behaviours in fictitious environment. Theoretical advantages are misty and mostly pseudoscience.

Imagine being so good at aimlab, but u end up with low ranks in fps games.
@acebandge5293
@acebandge5293 3 жыл бұрын
Aiming and mouse-control is just one aspect of fps games. There are many others, however, that would be much more easily implemented and more beneficial for you as an fps player. Sure aiming is important, but there are definitely other things that players need to work on first before they practice getting godly aim!! If I was stuck in a lower rank in an fps game (or really any game in general), I would look and meditate on the root reason I am being killed or why I am losing my games. Ask yourself, "Why did I die?" "Well, I was overaggressive and I wide swung leaving myself exposed." Do not fall into the habit of saying, "Well my teammate did_________ and they are the reason I am losing." Do not be quick to blame others even if sometimes it is their fault. Once you look into the faults of players on your team then you WILL find something to complain about and it is best to work with your teammates rather than start quarrels. All in all, its way more beneficial to work on the less flashy aspects of these fps games. The fundamentals, like positioning, crosshair placement, decisionmaking, and communication, for instance, are crucial to your ranked success! Once you have gotten the big stuff out of the way, then you can get started on the more flashy things like aim. Hope this helps!

@@2marke338 it is relevant but nowhere near as much as people make it seem. if you actually practice aim correctly you shouldnt have much issues changing sensitivity and aiming near the same within 3 minutes of practice. ive gotten kovaak highscores with a new sens, i play many games with different sensitivities, maybe i adjust quickly but top players (im not talking about pros who only play csgo because they dont have tracking skill) can change sens and play near the same

unlike golfers, gamers sit for 2-10 hours at a time. No one wants to sit in their perfect position like a statue for more than 20 minutes. Golfers on the other hand hold their position for a couple minutes. I believe this is a terrible example. It really is not your position that makes you aim consistently, it's your routine, how much sleep you get, staying hydrated, and muscle memory. positions may help muscle memory but you don't need to have THE POSITION to obtain good muscle memory in gaming.

Muscle memory for aiming is a fad. A player with good mouse control will be able to change their sensitivity and mouse without any significant problems, so long as they don't go into extremes. There can be a noticeable difference, but that's not related to memory, but more related to comfort and preference.

@@opywop18 Thats still not optimal. Yes. People can train to be adaptive. No. Adapting will not have the same aim potential as being in the same position. Golfers could do it too. Except they don't because there isn't anything to gold BUT the stance. So they have to play optimally. You don't have to aim optimally in any FPS game to win. Plenty of other factors come into play.
