Hi I'm Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This KZfaq channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes "gimmicky" golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.
If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

I did that a few months ago. After years of battling a slice I tweaked my grip to a much stronger grip. It felt awkward at first but once I started banging my driver arrow straight and much more distance I knew I had actually found something in golf that wasn't gonna go away the next time I played. Not a quick fix but a permanent part of my setup...I now have the feels of what it's like to have confidence in that the club isn't gonna spin outta my hands when I make contact.

I just love your video's Rick - You are the people golfer who helps all that tune into your channel, yeah the grip is so important, you just have to look down at your arms/hands as they are positioned as you walk, we are all built different resulting in our hands hanging at a certain degree, the minute you force them into a different position they are obviously going to react to the change in where you position them on the shaft! But yes the video Rick has shown us gives us all a guide line in how to hold the club - this guy is great and loyal to his followers, not like other channels who are away playing golf in warmer climates and posting their great week away! I don't care how their trip went or how they played, here on this channel you get tuition and commitment from a great guy! Thanks Rick, you have helped my golf and my swing this year as I was lost for over a year in trying to find my game due to domestics !

I've had a horrible slice my entire life and I think this video just helped me figure out why. I was taught to keep my thumbs perfectly lined up with each other in a straight line. I was taught, by a golf pro at a local course, to have both thumbs pointing down the middle of the grip with the club straight!! Changed my grip to this for 10 shots at the range about two weeks ago and all of a sudden I was hitting the ball dead straight! Wtf!? I have always had a bad slice in most of my shots but it has been getting much worse in recent months... Thing is, he taught me how to correct my swing as I was wayyy off when I first started. I went from slicing every shot to slicing just over 50% of my shots with lessons. But, he had me gripping the club completely wrong. How?? How can a pro golf coach get that wrong? Now I'm rarely slicing at all and have played a few rounds with this corrected neutral grip.

I had an instructor that would pull the club out of my hand at any moment, to make sure I didn't have a death grip on it. That really made me relax and feel the club in my hands. Tight enough so you don't throw the club like Judge Smails, but loose enough that someone could take it away from you.
