In a class of 150 architecture students me and my friend are the only ones who don't despise Grasshopper and I'm pretty sure that's exactly why.

No books. Books suck for this. Watch 10 tutorials. After that - try to make something very simple of your own. After that - try to make something a little bit more complex. After that - a little bit more complex. After that - a little bit more complex. And so on. In 2-3 years, you'll know most of it.

Hey, I'm an architecture student. Halfway through my 2nd year. We primarily use rhino and messing around I know little of sub-d modeling and made some stuff in blender for school. Realized that I need to work more and keep learning about the programs in order to make the stuff I want to. I was planning on watching all your videos this semester. What series would you suggest starting with? I'd be using Rhino, Grasshopper, Blender, and Photoshop to start. There is a lot of content. I know I'll explore things as I keep learning architecture. Right now my main focus is to get a deep understanding of the programs so I can then pursue/ be better equipped to find + understand the architecture I'm drawn to. Don't know anything about parametrics. What it means etc. I also recently learned of the term computational design. So point being there's a lot for me to figure out. Wondering if you know any good sources to check out or point towards as a starting architect. Anything really. So far I've just been designing through gut instinct trying to problem solve and looking for information as I go. I tend to sketch organic stuff eventually thinking "how do I model this in a program/ how do I represent these ideas". Anyways right now, I simply want to learn as much as I can as I figure out what it is I want to eventually do in the career.

Just keep modeling. Doesn't matter if it's a house or a car or a bunny rabbit robot (check out my livestreams). Just spend time every day working on something that you think is fun and cool. That's how you get good enough to create anything you can think of. As for your mind - read books. I have my book suggestions linked in the video description of every video I do.

Cheers! You even have the nice lazer-eyed grasshopper icon next to your name. That's how you prove you're the OG supporter hehe. As for using it as a screensaver - there are a few hacky-solutions that require you to download third-party software, but nothing that's built-in into windows (to my knowledge)
