Hello Sir., thanks for thr information. As a student who has secured a job and about to apply to switch from student visa to tier 2. Can my dependant back home apply along with me at the same time or do they have to wait for my tier 2 visa to be issued before they can apply to join me. Note. My Certificate of sponsorship states that they will cover me and my dependants expenses for the first few months. My question is do they have to wait for my tier 2 to be issued since they are outside the Uk or they can apply together with me. Thanks

1. We have the student dependent visa, your dependent can apply for this and join you in the UK whiles you are still a student, but you must meet all the requirements. They can also wait and apply for the tier 2 dependent visa to join you if you get your tier 2 visa. But if it’s stated on your CoS that your dependent will be catered for, then I will advise that you wait after you get your tier 2 visa then your dependent apply for tier 2 dependent visa.

You will be providing details about proof of finance, proof of accommodation, proof of your legal status in the UK , proof of address. All monies should be in your bank account. The only payment he does is the visa application fee

Thanks u for the information. I am in the Uk on a tier2 skilled worker healthcare assistant visa. My Cos stated I will be provided accommodation till I start earning. I’m here for a month now. I have started earning n still at the accommodation provided by my employer. Can my defendant apply for his visa using the address I am in right now?

Secondly my visa showed 3 months but I’ve got my residence permit already. Will it be a problem for my dependent if the 3months finishes before he applies? And lastly most cos have expiry dates, can he still use the cos number for his application even if it expired?

Yes you dependant can use your address if where you are can accommodate at least 2 people. In other to support the visa application, you can provide the accommodation or rent agreement letter to show that two people are allowed to stay in the room where you are. This is what the UKVI is interested in. If you don’t have the accommodation/ rent agreement letter then you employer she draft one for you. If your employer refuses then you have to rent a double bed room

They want evidence to support care and accommodation. My employer has given me a letter to confirm arrangement for sufficient accommodation will be made for me and dependents. Is the letter enough. Or do they still need to give proof of the accommodation.

If the company still want to provide accommodation for your family then they should provide evidence of it. They should provide the rent agreement to you and a letter showing that they want to assist you and your family with accommodation.

Your husband has to prove that he is sorely responsible for the child. And he can prove this with the death certificate of the child’s deceased mother. And also he should prove that the child indeed his child, he can do this by using birth certificate and pictures with the child

You are the main dependant, you don't necessarily need the cos for your husband and kids' visa. You can use your own visa to apply for their visa.

Yes the moment you get your tier 2 visa you can apply for the dependent visa and travel with your husband. But the care home or hospital employing you have to really help. They have to help you with 1. Finances 2. Accommodation 3. Inform ukvi that at least they will take care of you both before you get paid.

You can move the same day as your spouse( Main applicant). You can apply for your visa same day, there's no law that states that the main applicant has to wait for their visa to be out before the dependent can apply.

Where is your husband living, where are you living? Who is travelling to join the other person. The proof of finance is done by the person who is in the uk
