Great content dear Tola! Mine isn’t on this subject matter but it’s closely relating to this. We’re looking to relocate to the UK soon and I was meaning to bring my husband’s 15 year old cousin as a Dependant. We’ve done an official fostering because she’s orphaned and has lived with us since age 3. However, I was informed that the UK no longer permits bringing adopted or fostered children as Dependants. Is this really true?

Not that I've heard of. If you can prove that this child (under 18) is your ward and show the financial support they require, you can bring them in. Just curious, where did you hear that from?

Just make sure you support your application with enough proof because I'm not sure of how long your marriage needs to be before you apply...please confirm from gov.uk

Thanks sis for this understanding, please kindly explain more to me. please I still need a clarification on proof of funds and in this case not study but through a COS, must the money be in my spouse acct in case we are living together for UK before he applies for his Visa within 28days alongside mine which will be cater for by my recruiting organization or he will have to put it in his acct immediately after apply for the visa. Please I m always confused on this.

If you as your husband's dependant will be coming into the uk as a sponsored tier 2 visa applicant I don't think you should be applying under him. Your application should be separate so that you don't confuse things

You need a valid marriage certificate/license. Your birth certificate will not suffice.

Hello Tola Please Im still a little confused with the fees for dependents on tier 2 visa. I thought it's 285 my partner 315 for the first child and 200 for the second child 200 for the 3rd child. But now I get 490/person Also please I need the link to apply for their visas or do I need to ring the immigration? Thanks
