who else thought the baby was gon grab that glue? 😂I was like "don't do it" I couldn't focus lol. LOVE the nails. the baby. so cute!. I've tried a set or two (and mine lasted at least 2 weeks too) but this is making me want to go back. I'm about to get an overlay for this trip, but when I get back, it's back to no acrylic. The fact that there are so many cute press-ons more readily available makes the decision easy too!

I use the e-file a little bit on the press on nail where I place the glue as well. For me it’s a game changer and helps with keeping them on a little longer. The tip about the oil was very helpful! 🤩

Thank you! I just started using press ons about 5-6 months ago and through trial and error, the most I can get them to last is a week. I do all the things you said except creating ridges before application. I did not know this was a thing so I will definitely add that in. Great video! Your kiddo is adorable and you are gorgeous.

Thanks for tuning in babe! If you don't want to create ridges by filing, you can also use a primer as a base coat. It creates an etched foundation for the glue to settle into. I have it linked in my Amazon storefront ❤️

I definitely miss those $20 sets with the free airbrush designs 😂. I love these tips that you shared with us! 🙌🏾🤗One thing I tried to help them last longer is to apply them right before bed time so I would guarantee not to get my hands wet for at least 6-8 hours. This helped a ton.

I enjoyed your video, thanks. 😊 I started doing my own press-ons because doing a mani on nail stands is so much easier for me. And I'm using waterproof glue tabs along with a little glue around the edges. That works really well for me. Now I'm picking up extra supplies to start making them to sell.

@@shaynicolexo I think I could keep them on longer than with just glue. I tend to pick at the edges a little and sometimes I accidentally pop them off. I also want to be able to reuse mine, so I don't want to have to soak off.

Thank you for sharing your routine! Your nails look great! Since you change them often, what is your removal process? Also, are the press ons you use able to be reused? If so, how do you remove them and not damage them or your natural nails?

So I definitely need to make a part 2, to show ya'll the removal. I soak them off and they don't damage my natural nails at all! Also, they're reusable depending on the type of press-on. Some of made with hard gel and acrylic, so they're layered and thick. But others are thin and meant to only wear once.

Yup...my exact thoughts. How do you take the nails off? I've got quite a few press-on nails around here which I love but I hate the constant matinence of them popping off. Hey babe! I use Kiss press-ons all the time. I pick them up from my local Target or CVS often. They also have a good nail gel by Kiss that's linked in my Amazon storefront in the description box. I don't use gloves to wash dishes, but I try not to have my hands submerged in hot water for long. That helps prolong them!

I have a question! OK, so when you apply the drop of glue onto your own fingernail is it a good idea to spread the glue around with the tip of the glue applicator or just leave the drop as is? And what is the reasoning? I’ve seen it both ways in videos so I’m not sure. I bought the Kiss French Tip to try first…..I’m 66 and never tried glue on nails before …..can’t wait to have pretty hands! 🍷💄

I had nail fungus when I used UV gel once and the UV nail lamp. I think it can be avoided by making sure that you use the UV lamp for awhile. Also if you use the UV lamp then try not to wet your nails after applying them.

Make sure you press down well when applying, and push from side to side while looking to see the gel/glue spread evenly. When your nail bed is covered in that, there won't be any air bubbles.

Hey there! I definitely need to make another tutorial video for the UV lamp method. I use a gel glue instead, and a primer for the base. The lamp cured the gel and makes it last even longer than with just regular nail glue.

How can you apply oil to your nails before you stick them? You have to buff and use alcohol wipes to get rid of the natural oils on your nails for the glue to stick?

Oh that's strange... even at the nail salon, they only put the oil directly on the cuticles, massage them in, & say to wash it off.

She does not use the oil on her nails before she sticks them. She uses it to clean the excess glue from her finger around the nail.

@@DaFaBBMiSs3s essentially yes, but you should only do it with nails that are see through otherwise it won’t cure. You would need a builder gel or “gel glue” and a full size gel lamp to cure the gel under the press ons. It’s basically the Après gel x method but with cheaper press ons. You then have to soak it off with acetone instead of how regular press ons can be removed with water.

Do you know if they will stay on in chlorine? I am a triathlete and swim 2-3 times per week. I really want to do my nails but I’m scared that it won’t work because of being in the pool…

Yes, I go in the pool with my press-ons, but if you go in the hot tub just don't let your hands submerge too long. Warm/hot water will loosen up the glue!

Glue can't damage your nail like acrylic b/c it's not a harsh chemical. Soak your press-ons off instead of trying to rip them and you'll be just fine!

Press-ons are reusable depending on the type you get. For example, the ones that are handmade with layers of hard gel and acrylic will definitely last for multiple wears.(Those are a little more pricey) But the ones that are typically machine made are thinner, and best for only 1-2 wears. (Those are the inexpensive ones).

Oooo sis, I started washing dishes with gloves years ago and it was a game changer. I highly suggest you get 2 goo pairs (1 for cleaning kitchen and 1 for bathrooms)
