Good advice. I'd like to add: learn to let go of the question that you want to ask next. Sometimes, holding onto that future question can keep you from listening properly to the answer being given to the previous one. Deciding to ask it anyways can lead to a discussion that sounds very forced and unnatural to the listener, and can make your interlocutor feel like he's not listened to and that you're not getting it. I'm working on it, but it's easier said than done for sure!

I’ve heard Tim say this a long time ago but the penny never dropped until now. In fact I realised it for myself, THEN remembered that Tim said it. Its that first line that’s so underestimated. It’s the questions you ask YOURSELF, that matters. eg: Simply “How are ways I could realistically make a bit more money right now” or “How are ways I could realistically save more money right now” or “Is this relationship actually good for me”. Tim has also in the past recommended Journaling. Asking yourself simple questions and writing them down is KEY. And finally, he’s ALSO said (Trying not to sound too fanboi here) in the past, or maybe its taken from a quote that, “Wisdom is listening to yourself”. Deep down we know the answers, it take writing them down to really see the answer.

I like how this encourages more specifics in questioning. Delving into someone's emotional pulses is also a good way to ask better questions. Random note: For some reason I feel like this is the evil alternate universe Tim a la Star Trek's Mirror, Mirror episode.

Huge fan of the podcast and must say I really love these short bite-size segments. Sometimes jumping into a 2 hour+ podcast on a foreign subject can be a bit intimidating. Thanks for all of the content that you put out (and it's a freaking lot of content at that). Would love if there could be "highlights" or some preface available on newly released, longer podcasts (similar to what tools of titans is). Best wishes with the new launch, and I will be picking up an audio book since I no read good. - Bb

Tim! I love this video! I was wondering... what is one intriguing, brief, and somewhat specific question that you can ask someone to get a picture about who they are? I am asking because I am trying to think of an idea for an autobiographical essay, so this would be a little different than the types of questions you were talking about in your video. I have some ideas (e.g., what was one of the best days of your life?), but you are the master of questions so I thought I'd pick your brain if I could!

Hi .. great video. one fundamental doubt. do you prefer sending the questions in advance to the person you are interviewing? Pros : this helps them in having a refined answer and not come back later saying, oh I had a better answer for it. Cons : if it is a question about them as a human, then they can 'manufacture' the answer to suit their image and persona. Please advise. Thanks.

Hey Tim, one suggestion because its a common theme throughout my friend circle - we love audiobooks! We find audiobooks a more efficient and enjoyable means of plowing through content during commute times when normally you would be checking e-mail or listening to music etc. Please, for the love of God, make this into an audiobook! Also, I'll reward you extra badass points if you use your own voice :)

I'm seeing the push to KZfaq Tim and I like it. I've noticed you've started upping the video quality. As a viewer, I would recommend focusing on your delivery - adding visual aid and enhancing your delivery. A visual aid can be something as simple as providing examples from podcasts of good questions (ie. evidence). Utilizing editing to smoothen your delivery, or even changing your tone (ie. Philip DeFranco does this good). Or simply some more visuals to make the lesson easily digestible (ie. Add text/subtitles to enhance the tips)

I know you're a self-proclaimed introvert, and these editing tips can leverage that disadvantage to a huge win. For reference, use Gary Vee for delivery tips and Casey for editing.
