Thank you for posting this demo! The Animal 3 is my first Dyson. I was able to put the vacuum together using the instruction manual, but I wasn’t able to attach the suction head. It wouldn’t easily seat and took forever to get it locked-on properly. It felt like it was going to break when I was pushing on it. The real challenge that you helped me solve was reclining the handle. This is the first vac I’ve ever had that doesn’t have a release button someplace. I felt like I was manhandling the machine until I watch you do it 😁👏

Wish I had watched this before I assembled our QVC special Animal 3. Dyson should include a real instruction and maintenance manual. Looks like a good appliance.

I was so sad when my first Dyson died. I had it over 30 years! Just purchased its replacement. Looking forward to another 30 years 👍🏻🤞🏻

You are a lifesaver! Thank you so much! The slide switch on the front of the brush has an obvious function. Some machine models have a feature where the head automatically adjusts to carpet pile length and can go from carpet to bare floor automatically. This model does not have this function. According to Consumer's Report, the machines that adjust automatically do not work as well as those that you manually adjust. The three settings are high pile carpet, medium pile carpet, and the flat straight line for bare floors, such as tile and linoleum. I don't know why the medium setting has "bubbles" on top of its symbol. That extra part that is about 2 or three inches high? Its function is to provide a way of holding the two attachments right on the machine. This holder slides into two groves near the bottom left side of the canister. Using this, you can carry both attachments right on the machine. You should use one of these attachments instead of the top of the hose. I don't mean to sound like a "know it all". I tried hard and long to assemble the machine, but I could not until I watched your video!

I had trouble at first getting the handle to lean back so that I can angle the vacuum head to vacuum. Thanks for the video - I not having any trouble now. I was having to put my foot on the head to hold it down when I was setting the handle at the angle to vacuum. I also found that the maching is heavy - but when I reset the button for the length of the carpet (on the head) it was much easier to push.

I was wondering how i set this hose to stay still, thank you so much!!!

Hi, we just picked up ours today and it works so good I can’t push it on carpet. We saw the three levels on the beater and my husband couldn’t even push it on the medium and the high carpet setting, Is there some other trick that we’re missing? I got such a super deal at Costco that I hate to return it. I can push it on bare floors but not carpet. Thanks.

any idea what the small attachment is for? i can’t seem to figure it out but i did come to realize that the smaller attachment does fit in it.

Not thrilled with the extension hose as it wants to pull the vacuum along with it. It might be because it's new. Hopefully it relaxes a little as we use it.

How do you vacuum under a bed or furniture?

I have a question for you...Just bought one of these. Can't get any suction through the floor brush. All suction is coming from the handle. What are we doing wrong?

Tony- All the Dyson's have great suction. The problem I am finding with the Dyson Animal Ball 3 has tremendous suction that I am having trouble keep the wand hose from retracting when I am trying to use it like you did in the video and with any of the attachment. What can I do?

The stiff part of the hose is too long! You have to vacuum your furniture holding it 4 feet away. I don’t like this aspect, but love the rest of it. Bought mine yesterday.
