Something I noticed is, that when you load a world from an older version into a newer one, that it "updates" the TNT on world loading, causing it to activate and possibly destroy stuff in the process. So, I personally recommend sharing worlds with TNT dupers in a unbuild state (where you first assemble it) to prevent any possible activation and destruction of your worlds.

Yeah its a bug, that entities saves on different file the blocks, and when the chunk is loaded, it will load the rails before the minecart, which will make tham to diactivete because there is no minecart on them, and then when the minecart will load, it will activate the rail which will activate the TNT and make him exploade

The easiest method I've found is just pushing the rail with a minecart with a piston, in most cases you won't get the update order wrong by mistake.

It is also worth mentioning how to disassemble the TNT duper. It's pretty much the same for every design: you need to take out the TNT block first, and then everything else in any order. If you do it in the wrong order, TNT might ignite and explode things you don't want to be exploded. And also it's better to take out the coral before taking out the block supporting it, because otherwise you lose the coral.

This could’ve been so helpful for me in the past, but I’ve learned most of this from other builds at this point. It’s great that you made this video for others though, and I’m commenting because algorithm. The one method you didn’t mention and I’m usually not a fan of is pushing in the minecart and rail from the side. It’s more work and can go wrong in just as many ways. But it does have the advantage of having all the blocks in the final shape. For example, if a mining machine explodes one module, I often find it easier to build everything in place following the other modules as a guide, and then use that method to add the minecarts at the end. I could rebuild the whole module one block forward, but that’s a pain, especially since with the wall under the TNT, an accidentally lit TNT doesn’t blow up too much as long as it doesn’t cause a chain reaction.

@@adamrezabek9469 As far as I can tell that is literally true. According to a quick google an old method involved two thousand banners(though I think newer ones involve similar amounts of rails). Depending on exact duper design that's more like 200x as many blocks placed. (and more if you have to build a floating platform for the rails). Though that also takes it from materials you could reasonably collect to materials you might need a farm for.

The piston first makes a list of the blocks that it wants to move. Since the tnt is budded, when it gets a block update it will ignite. Then the block that the coral is on gets moved(the blocks farthest away from the piston is moved first). The coral gets an update(different type than what tnt will react to so you can't just put the tnt there) and pops off. This updates the tnt and it ignites but the piston remembers that it wanted to move a tnt so it still creates the block 36(moving block) of the tnt. Hopefully that helps.

You missed my preferred method. I just push the rail and the minecart in from the side directly, without bothering to push the block it's resting on. I place the rail & cart on a block next to where it needs to be, then use a regular piston to push them onto the correct block. This way you can assemble the TNT duper as normal (so it's easier to inspect to see if it is assembled right), then push the "power" onto it as the last step.

not really because in worlds that get updated the blocks will be loaded first and after that the entities so there is first only the detectorrail and in the next moment the minecart on the detectorrail. @@bluesillybeard if you're going to try so hard to be a technical minecraft player just play java. I know you're gonna be like "why you gotta be so mean to bedrock players" but trust me I was there and it was way easier when I switched, and opened up so many more possibilities because of qc, 0 tick, how the sticky pistons push out blocks, tnt duping, autoclickers, flying machines, its just waaaaay better.

@@kiblord8252 Now that I think about it (and your reply), I agree that Java is much better. As a Java player, I was always a little jealous of bedrock due to things like Movable Block Entities, placing rails underwater, I can play it on my cell phone, etc, but when it comes to features Java is the way to go. Bedrock is a lot cheaper (on mobile) but the extra money is worth it if you want to do impressive things like what ilmango does. Furthering your (and recently my) point, Java can easily be modified, adding or changing features is a lot easier than in bedrock. You can also play (almost) every version that ever existed in Java, so that's another bonus. (some very early versions of alpha and beta are missing since notch apparantly doesn't have backups) If you are a casual player, bedrock works just fine, but for almost anything technical Java is the way to go. (sorry for the long comment and many grammar mistakes)

I was hoping you would go into more detail on why the duping mechanic actually works. Does anyone have a technical explanation as to what causes this bug?

I'm 9 months late, but the coral fan breaks (but for some reason doesn't actually pop off), updating the TNT, but the piston has already made a list of the blocks to move, so you get the ignited tnt as well as the original tnt that was in that list to move.
