unfortunately this adhesive isn’t available in my country, do you have any other recommendations on something similar which would make this work?

In America, that glue "went on" pretty much like our available Rubber Cement called *BARGE.* Yes, we do have to coat both sides for a long permanent bond, but.... in this mesh screen case, I think coating just "one side" on the Aluminum Frame then pressing down the totally porous mesh screen should achieve a super long term seal adhesion. And it will be 98% waterproof.
