How to Avoid Enemy Scanners (Neglect Ping) (Quick Tutorial) | Death Stranding

In this video, I am going to show you how you can neglect an enemy scanner ping so you can go undetected to any MULE enemy camp. The process is really simple but requires very precise timing. Once you cross any of the sensor poles that mark the enemy territory and see the fence scanner pop, wait until you can't see the scanner wave, usually around 1 second and then do your own scan. Don't do this immediately after, you have to wait a little bit. Doing this helps the enemy wave from the fence scanner to arrive at the nearest MULE, giving you enough time to trigger your Odradek Scanner and send your own scanner wave before the enemy responds to the fence scanner. If you are doing this after you see the MULE responds to the wave or just after the fence sends the first wave, you will never neglect the scanner, just keep that in mind and practice until you get the hang of it.

it seems like a lot of people don't realize this, but you can also use a well-timed jump to literally jump over the scanner wave and avoid it, making the game say you avoided it

Thanks lad I'm a fair bit into the game but this seems to be pot luck for me 90% of the time it works but about 10% it doesn't and it always seems like it when I'm on a mission were i have to go onto mule/terrorist territory, i really like to stealth into the camps but sometimes i have to end up fighting my way out 🙄

Its the same way for me, I reached the point in which I carry armor just in case. I even remember that at some point the game tells you how to do it but I couldn't get it right.

Pot luck is a social gathering where each attendee brings a different dish to share with the others. I think the term you're looking for is "sheer luck," or "shot in the dark," etc.

@@CNSninjaIn the UK the phrase is 'pot luck' to mean a random occurrence. The pot luck supper is a similar sentiment in that one doesn't know what dishes are going to be served. Cf. stone soup...

@@beaconing7689 It seems to work and without updating. I sometimes succeeded by chance, after which I climbed to google to look how to do it. But when I do it specially does not work. True, then it is not clear why the update if it works without it?

Right? To "neglect the scan" means nothing lol. You could neglect to negate them, but that's exactly the opposite of what we want.

@@Bluelemonzz because using the proper word is important anyways. if we all started misspelling or using the wrong words because everyone would understand anyways, it would cause the de-standardization of language, which obviously is not a good thing. being clear and concise is always better than using whatever you want because “people will know what i mean anyways”

Hi, ThunderCat. Rank up: get as many 'STARs' as you can for the Collector. I believe 4 Stars unlocks Backpack Protection level 1, and 5 stars for Backpack level 2. Something like that...

the collector is a little tricky to find, you'll want a ladder and a rope and prepare to deal with mules cause he's located in one of their territories

Is it exactly necessary? I sometimes accidentally managed to scan so that the mules did not scan me. But when I try to repeat specially, it fails

just flat out wrong. This isn't a terrible video, it taught me the timing and since I have adequate brain power, I knew what he meant without feeling I needed to judge him.
