My momentum seems to be thrown off everytime I skip holiday foods. My advice is eat as much as you can but don’t take a plate home. I don’t eat sweets and sugary foods however i would eat carbs. I also won’t drink alcohol or any sugary beverages. All my calories are coming from food which would usually be 2000 calories per day however I would double it on holidays.

I appreciate the last piece of advice as it’s how I’ve taken this holiday season. I’m busy with work (my own business) and I’ve put in a lot of effort into many things the last couple years. I used to be over 300 pounds but I started in January 2022 to work on it and I’m in the 160s currently, but I’ve gained a couple for the holidays. I figured 2 years of hard work and I can take a small break before the new year starts and get back on things. Good luck with everything, everyone!

The greatest takeaway is fasting/training before the holiday meal as well as the final message. Realistically, you’re not going to gain dramatic weight or weight if at all for taking a day or two for yourself. It’s also a great exercise in de-coupling yourself from such an obsessive lifestyle. Don’t stress over the numbers and take in the moment with your loved ones over a delicious home-cooked meal. It might not work for everyone but it’s the balance everyone should strive for imo

i started working out “seriously” last december 2022. and still actively working out one year later because of you. i didn’t lose weight that much cuz i am maingaining. thank you for the inspiration and motivation wanhee. hoping for better gains and low body fat % in 2024. happy holidays!

This holiday season has been the first time I’ve been able to practice eating discipline around my family and loved ones and it is all because of your content this year. Having respect for yourself enough to not be pressured into eating the piece of cake or having that extra drink is something I am extremely happy enough and this is the first time I’ve been able to do so over the holiday season. One of the upsides of being alone on Christmas is you can nail your workout and nutrition without even realising everyone else is struggling and having to come up with strategies etc lol.

hey man I have been on a serious calorie deficit with My Fitness pal from 206 lbs to now 190 lbs, 2400 calories a day with 5 exercise days and this video strikes hard I relate to this, back on Christmas Eve I had an impending feeling I would be eating much more than usual. So in the morning, I went on a 3 mile walk for about an hour and I feel much better mentally and physically. It gets tempting with all of the food and desserts!

Even if Im a girl I must say you helped me, so thank you. I have been skinny fat most of my life and gym was a game changer for me with hyperinsulinemia + insuline resistance + gluten sensitivity. But I was never able to decrease the amount of fat efficiently without losing muscle. So basically I would either lose both or gain both, but even when I was underweight I had a belly pooch. Now I've been on intermittent fasting by giving up breakfast which was my favourite meal and focused on less exercises in the gym (mainly lat machine, dead lifts, hip thrust and pulley) and that took off sm stress tbh regarding the idea of working out cause it takes less time + I avoid being exhausted when I exit and the days after so I have energy to move a bit everyday. I have seen the "stubborn" fat finally reduce and the general hunger diminishing, I don't feel the need to have breakfast anymore, I don't feel as if im fainting like before. But I must say holydays are getting me a bit off track cause there's chocolate and desserts everywhere and Im afraid im getting a habit of snacking again. Thats the hardest part for me: to give up snacking in the night or whenever during the day. Respecting lunch/dinner time is so important in order to lose weight!

I've been suffering from it like crazy in the past years after an accident and after wasting a lot of money in the end the only thing that helps me is the gym. My muscles keep contracting even though my spine is relatively sane for my age. Maybe this topic could inspire some of your next videos (?)

Easy trick. Burn 500-1000 kcal by cycling everyday. You will either maintain or not gain AT ALL. To make it easier, watch a video or Netflix while cycling (I usually watch University Lectures)

Hello wanhee just subscribed to your free workout routine and i read through it and gotta say great job man it's really good and easy to follow through, i got one question though in the workout on the first routine for the pulling day you want me to do a weighted pull up but i struggle to do 3 push ups lol so what should i do?
