Backing up your WordPress website is important because it helps you to recover your site if something goes wrong. There are many ways to backup your WordPress site, but we will focus on two methods: using a plugin or using a service.
If you decide to use a plugin to backup your WordPress site, we recommend BackupBuddy or UpdraftPlus. Both of these plugins are easy to use and will create a backup of your WordPress site that you can download and store on your computer.
If you decide to use a service to backup your WordPress site, we recommend VaultPress or CodeGuard. Both of these services will backup your WordPress site automatically and store the backups off-site. i would recommend to make and download 2 separate backups because sometimes it doesn't backup all the files or gets corrupted somehow. That will give you some extra backup files to restore from.
