Was taught many years ago to remove material to balance. Tried your method, absolutely brilliant. Thanks. 3 blade prop, removal method, heavy blade above and balance other 2, then remove material from top blade. By your method find heavy blade, add nail polish to next light blade until equal, then add polish to the other light blade.

Hey David. I have always been a faithful follower of your videos. This has been a really good video. If there is any way do you think you could do one also showing when you have the blades but the hub is not and how to balance it. Also could you do one with multiple blades that are one piece such as a 3 blade and 4 blade. I have really been having trouble finding anything that shows multiple blades and I find it is very difficult and I don't have the confidence that they are correct. Well just wanted to see if you could put something together. I have always believed in your advice and have learned much valued information. One thing a youtuber needs to do is earn the trust of watchers and I'm proud to say that you have gone well above what's needed to earn mine and countless other people. Thankyou for your videos David and I'll be looking forward to more.

Thank´s David for your videos, I came back 3 years ago to the hobby after 30 years (life got in the way)..looking at the video,,Now I am thinking about balancing my prop´s better and specifically about the hub it self . How important is it to balance the hub as well ?

I have never balanced a hub and never had an issue.

Great video David. How do you balance a 3 or 4 bladed prop?
@dmrcflyr27 жыл бұрын
Well the process would be the same. Watch for the heavy blade and sand or add nail polish to the blade accordingly.

Well, I can see that a heavy blade would hang down with a 3- or 4-blader, just wasn't sure how it would look when it was balanced. I suppose the aim would be to get it so that there was no tendency for any particular blade to repeatedly hang down. It's academic anyway for me as all my props are 2-bladers, was just curious! Enjoy your vids btw. Grahame

Well now you are making me want to buy a 3 blade prop just to balance it. I would assume that it would swing freely and stop in totally random orientations if PERFECTLY balanced.
@Grahame597 жыл бұрын
That's what I'm assuming. Or maybe it would continue to turn indefinitely as it tries and fails to find a heavy blade to hang down… perpetual motion (who needs an engine?!)

The day I shot this video I left a prop on the balancer and turned my fan on. The prop just kept going all day and my cats loved watching it..... for about 45 seconds. Then they got bored since it didn't run from them....

Complimenti un bel video( ho solo seguito le immagini, non capisco l' inglese) ma da esperienza, le eliche per bilanciarle si ritoccano all' esterno , sia con abrasivi o quant'altro, non all' interno dove c'è il"passo".....
