Whatsup drone gangsters. I want to say something here in all seriousness. I DO NOT want to give the impression that I’m against creators on youtube making money selling their LUTs, or promoting accessories or promoting affiliate links. Trying to earn a full time income on KZfaq is the hardest thing I’ve ever tried in my life. And I’ve had 5 professional careers in New York City. I can do anything. But this youtube game…..is tough (especially after the pandemic….it got VERY crowded here on KZfaq). For example: My first year on KZfaq I worked full time (60 hours per week) and made no money. ZERO. It took me that long to get monetized. If you want to check your male ego….work HARD for an entire year for no money. The second year (2023) I made $7,100 from KZfaq advertising. I worked my friggin face off all year and made $7k. 2024 is off to a blazing start. I have 24k subscribers and get a decent amount of views: I earn $480 per month…..from working 60 hours / week. When people say they’re quitting youtube…..man I totally get it.

I always considered LUT sales as just being ways to support creators. Same as the PDF "Book" sales, or selling courses. Lot's of ways for creators to tap into their viewers wallets, KZfaq should be a first step not the finish line?

@@TedNemeth I do agree. When I feel I have benefited from a channel, then I will make a donation, 'buy them some coffee', or pay for a master class like yours. The problem I have is when the presentation suggests only 'their LUTS" , etc. are the answer.

Ted, my friend. You completely forgot the KEY ESSENCE , which is including your obsession for coffee into drone videos. Didn't you know that? Coffee and drones belong together. How do you ever wanna jump over that 7k a year mark? It's simply impossible. But wait, before you head out to buy a 5000 $ coffee machine, here's one bonus tip: you can only film cinematic coffee scenes with at least an ARRI ALEXA. Anything else will not make you successful. Don't even try it with a Blackmagic 5k camera or something similar. It will not work, believe me 😂🤣 Ted, keep going bro. We love your content.

What's up, Ted. I retired as an engineer so I thought it was time for a change. I thought about getting a private pilot license but then I found out about drones and that was a real game changer. Bonus tip, I just passed my 107 so I'm ready to unlock some new adventures and maybe, eventually, become a youtube influencer. I'm looking forward to being self employed, and live a life of champagne and cocaine, rather than spending my time polishing turds for 'the man'. I just want people to pay me to tell them about my major life update. I think I'll start with doing reviews of every ND filter manufacturer out there, to start building a following. The only problem is that I'm old, ugly and have a squeaky voice. That could be a deal breaker, so I may have to hire a male model to read the script. Maybe I'll have to hold off on cocaine and just go with cheap champagne, to cover the expense of the model. Regarding your suggestion about having a green plant and a neon light (or was it green neon light and a plant?), I'm thinking of having a green neon light that's shaped like a plant, in the background. (Bonus Tip #2, no need to water it.) There's just so much to think about. Gotta go for now but I'll smash that like button on the way out.

I think we all got suckered by the “LUT Sluts” in the early days. Hell, I even bought some Newer ND Filters (that I never used)! I struggle to watch them anymore as it really is just bullshit they spout. It’s amazing and scary how people believe a lot of what they are told on KZfaq, so long as the title has the word “Tutorial” in the title. Keep up the good work Teddy boy 🙌🏼🇬🇧😊
