Congratulation to acomprehensive overview, which should include motivation, selfanalysis and ercommended sports or hobbies. In my expereince people like doing martial arts untill they meet a better one. I would start emphasizing it at the very beginning. Paul.68.

Hi Patrick, thanks for all the excellent content you put out! I trained MMA and BJJ for seven and a half years between from 2011 to 2018. I still do solo BJJ drills and heavy bag workouts. Your videos, aside from being enjoyable, are an excellent way to review techniques, learn new ones and get sound advice. Your channel's awesome! (Neil from Johannesburg, South Africa).

The concept that a more skilled practitioner could increase the intensity by doing more skilled things was weirdly new to me but it makes a lot of sense. Also I learned that I may need to think about lowering my "skill" when practicing with new people to be a better training partner. Thanks for the video :).

Happy you got this great takeaway, DamKaKaDaNi. Indeed, we'll do more videos about progressive resistance and being a good partner soon, because it's such an important concept, and one that is rarely taught explicitely. Althouth there is some value to getting "smashed" by a high-level martial artist sometimes (it can be eye-awakeining), optimal improvement is achieved when you are successful most of the time, but still need to make adjustments, and problem-solve in real-time against intelligent reactions. Knowing how to offer an optimal level of resistance to your partner is really an art... More details coming in future videos! Thanks for your comment 🙏 - Patrick

So simple, but oddly still not commonly known, and even less often well applied. Working had to change that! - Patrick

Thanks for the question, TheSyrian Eyes. I would recommend these, in order: 1. Bodyweight Fitness Basics: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i6yZqJWJ36eZkp8.html 2. The Fighting Stance: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/htmVg8llur65pI0.html 3. The 7 Basic Grappling Postures: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iNSKq9petrHWc6s.html Then explore the playlists mentioned in the desctiption of this video. And don’t forget to actually practice the techniques progressively and consistently once you’ve acquired the knowledge! Hope this helps 😊 - Patrick
