It's that simple! I woke up this morning, spoke some affirmations, told myself that im gonna write some songs, do some reading on the music industry, & reach out to some family members. That made me feel excited about my day. So therefore, im HAPPY!!

I have struggled with severe anxiety and depression since my teens, I am now 38 with a 17 year old daughter and yes, from the day she was born she has been a god send and the way she makes me feel I cannot begin to describe... she is my world, my life, my sunshine and I love her so much and she makes me happy... but for some reason, when I am on my own, laying in bed at night, I still feel the farthest thing away from happy, I mean when I am in the presence of my daughter and my family I feel happy, it’s nothing to do with the people in my life that is making me feel like this, I keep telling myself that I am really blessed and yet still I cannot understand why I feel like I do! So I saw this pop up as an ad and thought I may as well click on it as I’m sure it can’t make things any worse😕😔 I really don’t know why I am rambling on in the comments of this video either, I guess I am just wondering if anyone else can relate and also I have noticed that sometimes getting your thoughts and feelings out of your head and written down anywhere for the universe to see kind of helps (does anyone else know what I mean by that) and I am on meds for my mental health issues and Yet I still go to bed every night and feel like if I didn’t have my daughter and my family around (who are all completely supportive of my mental health issues) I could easily fall off the face of the earth and wouldn’t be noticed and would gladly do so as sometimes the struggle is too much, I am very good at putting on a happy face for everyone else but deep down I am the only one who can’t believe or convince myself that I am happy... I know it sounds selfish but it’s true and I guess I am willing to try anything at this point and to let others know my true feelings (even if it’s strangers in the comment section of KZfaq) I guess it’s a start 🙂 If anyone even reads this long comment, please forgive me for the depressing statements. ☮️💟🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💙🤍

If you are seeking happiness, or fulfillment from life, then all you need to do is overcome your mind and live consciously in the present moment, free of thought. You just need to be aware of what is coming to you in the now, living out of your 5 life senses. If you are truly interested in how to be happy, if you want to know the actual truth about fulfillment, then google the truth contest and read the present. It explains the ultimate truth of life and death, and it is free.

Brilliant Brandon!! I've been inspired by your work for many years! I discovered Life's Golden Ticket, and had you sign a copy for me at Mark Victor Hanson's Mega Book Writer's event in Los Angeles many years ago, and I've been learning form you ever since! I was moved by several comments on this video, but the one that struck me the most was "my parents are fighting and I just can NOT be happy." This child's comment was the whole reason I went to that conference in LA so long ago and began following your work! Ever since I've been passionate about helping kids and parents discover their power to discover lasting happiness, together. Your work has clearly helped millions change their lives, myself being one of them, and it is obvious to me that a child's happiness is directly related to the happiness of his parents. We clearly need to be and feel how we wish our children to be and feel! We wish for children abundant happiness, so we to must be abundantly happy! Thank you so much teaching those who need it most!!

Never entrust all aspirations of love contingent on the passing whims of another human being. We find as a matter of course that relationship with God and invest total trust in Him. That is how true happiness is found and sustained through all of our lives.

“Happiness is having something to love. Greater happiness is when that something is everything. Happiness should not be a goal, rather it is a result of a life well lived. A life well lived is a life well loved. A life well loved is a life where you are one with All. That is, you are a part of All, and All is a part of you. Happiness is a byproduct of the process of increasing the quality of your consciousness." Love is about other - whether it is about other persons or other everything makes no difference - love maintains the same quality. How far you spread it (how much you give deeply and broadly) is limited only by the size and quality of your personal reality (quality of your consciousness) .” ~ Tom Campbell

Sometimes Happiness is simply accepting your life for what it is loving the people in front of you and making the best out of what you have. I see a lot of people unhappy when they want what other people have. Online people make their lives seem perfect... its not true everyone is human with more struggles than victories... you need to know that you deserve happiness and when you believe that you will do what it takes to care for your emotional well being.

+Nijaels Music So true. One thing that I think keeps people miserable is that they are expected to achieve things that may not be possible for them and their lot in life. Yet they are mocked, ridiculed, put down for things by loved ones, friends, peers, or society that are not part of the greater plan for their lives and sense of fulfillment. It also wastes this precious life we have, and to really experience it the way it's meant to be.

No ONE and no THING can make you happy. Happiness comes from inside us, not external. If you say that your boyfriend or wife doesn't make you happy anymore, they not only can't make you happy but why should they? It's hard enough for each human to evolve inside to find happiness within themselves and no matter how many things they do for you, no one can make you happy for real. Buying gifts and standing on your head for someone just to make them happy is like putting a band aid on top of cancer. Each person's journey in life is to find a way to be happy or at least content on their own amidst all the ups and downs of life. If you say you aren't happy due to a person, you already lose because you are giving up your personal power to another person and being too weak to do your own inner work yourself. Our life on earth is a classroom and how much we evolve inside and how we choose to interact with others shows whether we die winners or losers. Don't spend your life looking to others or things to make you happy, because there are very poor, very sick, and people who are alone in life that have found a way to be happy despite their circumstances. I always remember this video that shows these kids in Africa somewhere who don't have a playstation and probably only eat once a day. They were laughing and smiling while hitting an old flat ball with a stick, I see mothers who work 3 jobs to take care of their 2-4 kids with no help from family who are joyful for their life and don't blame the world. It's easier to blame others for your lot in life but perhaps those with more are unhappy too. Life is a journey of ups and downs, the ups are gifts and the downs are lessons, don't make it more than it is. You WIN when you die HAPPY, but you die alone and you die penniless because no ONE and no THING is buried along with you.

There are no 1-2-3's of happiness so making videos about how to be happy is futile. Each person is unique in their personality, their emotional, mental, and spiritual maturity and are surrounded by other unique people and circumstances that are unlike anyone else, so no method of how to be happy is going to fit anyone BUT YOU.

zoomanda BOOM: Quite an unforgettable handle! I, however, disagree. Plenty of folks are made happy and/or happier by outside circumstances. I've been single and married, and in neither state was I unhappy, but I don't think I WAS happy because something was "happy" inside me. Excepting folks whose brain chemistry won't "let" them be happy, I think most happy-making things are external to us, .e.g., friends, family, a good job, etc.

The thing is... how can I be happy in such a negative environment? It has gotten to the point where I can be punished for being happy. For me, I feel like... as if I am a seed in fertile soil, but has been deprived of water. I was planted in a place where there are many opportunities for me to take, and that I have good potential; it is just that the support system seems to deprive me of the water. In fact, it once told me "I don't care about your dream. You are nothing, and I get nothing out of you." Then this happens day after day... receiving hurt is almost like receiving my daily coffee. Now, one insult causes a bigger emotional effect compared to a hundred complements. I don't feel like I am trying hard enough to get to my dream, and that I am failing, and slacking off. I'm not saying its impossible for me to become happier regardless of my situation. I am just wondering... on HOW I can become happier in this situation.
@nessaskee
@nessaskee 10 жыл бұрын
Here is my two cents and I hope it helps - though I could be wrong. When you're in a negative environment, just do whatever it takes to get yourself out of there such as time, money and friends/family. Getting out of where you are won't happen over night but it will happen, I'm sure of it, if you try. I'm not quite sure what you mean by negative environment, the home? work environment? school? If it's negative at school - Put on your hard hat, work through your education and graduate (if it's highschool) & if you're at university maybe decide to transfer and if that isn't an option, stay and get that paper! If it's related to people, remove yourself from them (easier said than done I know) If it's the home - Like I said, go through with your education, get a job and earn enough money and move out!! Build new connections once you're free. If it's work - Get a new one and quit your old :) If it's a negative mental state, it's what he suggested, do something creative, fun and maybe something different, NO MATTER what anyone else says (unless it's something really really silly like... doing something dangerous) In this situation is to do what you can do now and not what you could of been done. & honestly, you can never fail unless you don't try, if you fail at something, improve yourself and learn from mistakes. There will always be that devil in your head saying "I could of done better, I'm not trying hard enough" but really what is enough? We as humans are never completely satisfied, maybe satisfied temporarily but we always end up creating new dreams and goals for ourselves. I don't know how old you are but you seem smart, I'm sure you will figure it out on your own, and I say this because while people can give you advice, it is really advice from their own experiences (usually) and that means it may not cater for your situation. Ultimately, you will discover your way, no one life is the exact same, only similar. Sorry for this large essay containing poor grammar and punctuation but this is how I perceive your situation. I'm not saying that these are the things that you should do but just what you should think about or question yourself what is truly the core to this 'negative' environment. I'm going around in circles, I will stop now. Anyways hope you have a great day!

This I know better than anyone. I hope to all those in your situation that you are able to see what's happening around you at an early age. It's not normal to be told you are a pos by age 6. I thank the infinite intelligence for giving me the ability to completely disregard what they think of me and to give no credence to their opinion. Once I did that my life changed forever. Now I could see everywhere the dysfunction, though not able to articulate that at such an early age. I become someone very different all because I was able to use my own critical factor of the conscious mind all the time while around those who I love and want love from the most in my life. Though trying many many times I never was able to obtain that for which I searched, but I feel very blessed in my life and always have been through my own thoughts and the ability to think.

Your first question tells me that you are relying on your environment for happiness. It's all well and good to be told happiness is a choice, but what does this really mean? Well, in order to "choose" to be happy you need to be in control and the best way to adopt a mindset of control is to TAKE RESPONSIBILTY for every aspect of your life. Circumstances are highly unpredictable and often don't "go your way". You can't control if somebody spills their drink on you, tells you that you will fail in life or thinks that you are not good enough. So relying on other people and other events in order to find happiness is EXTREMELY UNSTABLE. The choice to be happy is easy once you get it through your head that you are in control. Not in control of your environment; but in control of your thoughts, feelings, actions and reactions. The good news is, you are already one step ahead of some people because you see that there is hope for you and now you want to know "how" rather than "why". Not only that, you are obviously creative and intelligent. The answer to your question of "how" is readily available to you, you just have to search for it.

Awwww really feel what you're saying. Consider taking the journey to happiness and don't expect it instantly. Firstly accept yourself just the way you are, give yourself credit for surviving and for being alive. I found accepting myself just the way I am a huge relief - then whatever others do to you cant demean you. Be yourself and take the journey to happiness.... I'm on the journey too. Finally because I accepted myself, I can see that I have the power to create happiness. Hope this helps a little.

If I did all of the things you recommended I might accdentally live longer. That is just about the last thing in this world I want to do. I have no idea what it's like to be happy, not a clue. Maybe that's for the best as I've noticed people who are happy and love life, die young. Miserable old bastards like me live forever. I would gladly give my life to someone who would enjoy it. Sometimes I envy stupid people, they're just oblivious to it all. Life is hell for people who think. Someone told me I need to lie to myself more, it works for the rest of us. Now, that is certainly something to think about.
