My view on this, confidence isn’t really the thing that makes her intriguing. From a guy perspective its the fact that she is non confrontational and very calm, men often deal with a lot of bs when trying to get to know women, whether it be attitude issues, arrogance etc… But despite her being pretty (which would usually paralyse men from getting close to her) its the fact she always looks calm and non confrontational that would make people comfortable enough to be drawn to her.

I’m a man, and I’ve never seen this show. Not sure why this was recommended to me. Trying to “act mysterious” to be interesting to men is about the cringiest thing I’ve ever heard. Sorry for the strong words I’m in a bad mood. But really it’s stupid and will probably only attract a certain kind of pretentious and unhealthy man. It sounds cliche but just be yourself and have fun, try to connect to the other person, if you’re attracted to them show it. Be open about your wants and needs and desires and expectations because there is no shame in it. If you feel insecure or needy try to resolve those feelings in therapy or by yourself, and if you still have those feelings be open about it. There’s no shame in it. Lots of people have insecurities from childhood trauma or whatever and you’re doing your best to work on it. Some men won’t want to deal with that because it does tend to make a relationship more complicated but then so be it. There are plenty who would still be happy to be in a relationship with you! So in summary: Just be yourself, be open, and try to have fun. If you pretend to be someone else or play games you’re just deceiving yourself and the other person. That goes for any relationship not just romantic ones

@@spaceowl5957 I think the OP didn't hit it correctly. It's not so much about Jia's quietness, but I think it's a combination of (1) good looks (she's a league above most other girls there and fit most of the guys' ideal type) (2) isn't appearing overfriendly or needing others' approvals => this shows self-confidence which she clearly has in abundance (3) she doesn't chase after men and have high standards (they must meet and come to her). I think a lot of these can't really be taught especially the self-confidence, some people are born and loved/doted on by their parents, and naturally have great self-esteem, while others were abused as kids and therefore will eternally need others' validation/approvals. Overall, Jia's a unique character that exudes a lot of self-confidence and she has clear boundaries & needs which is highly attractive, rather than other needy girls on this show.

Confidence. She isn’t looking for validation. Or to please. Or to impress. Something women have been taught is to make sure they dress and behave so that people will like them. It’s hammered into us from a young age. Ofc it’s changing a bit now, but that teaching still exists. It leads to women always trying to make sure people are okay with them. We don’t exist to make others happy or comfortable. When women understand that and develope their own sense of self, they win at life.

Most women are not aware of their own habits . How jia stood out among other women are in these steps:- 1. She didn't make first moves 2. She was honest . When asked in the 1st episode, whom she was attracted to . She said none and that she needs time . 3. Most men in the show thought jia was out of their level . But as men like to win , they wanted to try on Jia but also see if they can actually get her. If not , they will settle with the one in their league. Thats why ladies if an ex dumped you or you realise that you're dating a dusty guy and you decide to breakup . Don't be sad. He will find a woman of his level and you're not one . Your guy is waiting for you to level up . Jia knew this so she never chased any guy . Also she never showed/ had the fear on losing anyone . 4. Like all the other women , she was attractive too but she dressed classy everytime . She looked effortlessly classy and a little bit of sexiness. That's why she says " I'm cute & sexy" and her style reflects that. 5. She lets the man talk . This is the best strategy or a way to see how the man eligible for a woman. Women go on dates and talk alot , trying to show him that why he should date you . Thats a masculine trait. In mother nature, you'll see the male species shows their abilities to attract the female . You can watch discovery channel for that. 6. She never talks about other men when she's with a particular man . Instead her date would try hard to know whats in her mind but she never reveals that . That makes the boys chase her even more trying to win her over . 7. She tells her most suitable candidate that she likes him but she also has that aura that she has many men still available for her . And she doesn't do this desperately, falling on other men . She naturally attracts because she doesn't let any man, not even her suitable candidate to take the power. In her interviews , she said that even kpop stars would ask her out , she has a good family , a mother , father and a brother . She's a dancer , has a youtube career, has hobbies like golf , painting . In many of her Q&A videos , she advised girls to love themselves alot . I think loving yourself is a process . And that process can build your confidence without you knowing. I as a woman always fantasised about cinderella stories and how men would treat me to lavish lifestyle . But the question is why can't i treat myself the same lavish lifestyle. Thats self love . I would always bring gifts to my family , do cute things for my ex , go out of my way to help friends and give them big gifts. I realised that i was a people pleaser . Why did i never think that i want to be pleased to , surprised to . Who is there to please me ? Let me see , only then ill reciprocate . Till then i can please myself . When i shifted my energy to myself, i started attracting good things easily . I started calculating how many hrs in a day i was giving to myself for GROWTH 📈? Or was i giving my 24 hrs to gossip , other's drama and self loathing stories , binging, shopping mindlessly , watching YT & IG and making other's careers grow while mine being at 0 , listening to breakup stories and dancing to songs about sex , fwb and cheaters , spending my time with loser friends and wondering how i blended well with my loser friends because i was one . Jia is a self love queen. And you can be one too .❤ All you need is awareness , the courage to take the first step and never to stop.

This would make sense if you, like Jia, are in a literal dating show. _But you're not._ And the real world is kinder than these glamorized dating shows when it comes to _forming actual relationships._ A relationship is less of a mating season and more about bonding and _enjoying_ another person's company and personality.

If all woman turns to a person similar to her then there is no point in uniqueness. You are right. Being mysterious makes others attract you.. Etc. When you said you gave nice things to your friends/ family. It aint you being a people pleaser. Its you caring for others and its a good trait that you have. Self love is very important but it shouldnt be completely dragged only to You or yourselves. Thats where problems arise. Within this small life span of humans- enjoy life, appreciate the surroundings, be kind to others. And be U. We all have different views on things. So this is what i think. Edit: and i am very sure, men appreciates if her woman is kind, and if he is the right man he will protect you no matter what. I'm not sure I agree with everything you're saying. I do agree about the part that being desperate isn't attractive but I do think it probably is better to communicate and show more of yourself for building a good foundation for a healthy relationship. I don't think the guys are truly attracted to her but more so to her image, a fantasy is more powerful than reality so when she does decide to show more of herself, chances are high they'd be disappointed and both parties would have invested a lot of energy in a relationship that would be doomed to begin with. Which would be so easily prevented with just communication. Also, she's very beautiful so a lot of people would be initially interested in her but that's not something that happens to everyone. I'd say the best mindset to have is being confident in who you are and not being afraid to be vulnarable + being okay with not being everyone's cup of tea. there is a fine line between revealing enough about yourself so that you come across as relatable and genuine, and revealing too much to the point where you seen over invested or strange. it’s unfortunate - society tells us that we should be ourselves, but not too much ourselves else you scared the other person. yet this is the reality of social settings

@@st4rg4z3r01 exactly ! Well said. That's what Jia did, she didn't want to reveal much about herself before she knew she likes a man. This video talks about magnetism and maintaining a little mystery, nothing about not communicating. Also having a little mystery can protect you from a lot of unfavorable situations too. For example, sometimes when we meet friends, even friend with same gender, they reveal too much about themselves and their secrets to newly met friends, and later found out that they don't like the new person they just met, and regret revealing too much. So yes I agree with this video, maintaining a little mystery and not revealing all your cards in every situation is very matured, and wise not only in the dating scene but also in any situations.

I also noticed park sejeong from the last season had this exact same mindset, she never chased and yet attracted nobody throughout the entire show, so I also wonder if ‘cultural attractiveness’ plays a role, (ie pale and cute etc) and also the fact Jia wore ‘brand clothing’ meant status and money. I think both play a role together in how so many men are attracted to her

No if you have seen Jia talks to her fellow members in the show specially the men . She is very observant. In the first episode , she is already aware that 2 guys are somewhat attracted to her so she tries to communicate in a shy , mysterious way . She is a master of giving "butterflies" to man .Also what i saw those men were really happy whenever they got time to spend with Jia or when they chased after Jia . Talking about park sejong , she lacked that aura . She is beautiful & confident but she wasn't very mysterious, she avoided contact like as if she was shy . Also when she had conversations with men , she wasn't in power but instead she felt shy . Well its not bad to be shy . Most people get . But in comparison to Jia , Jia's body langauge showed she always had the power in the conversation.

I have a conflict with people not wanting to seem desperate because I get where they're coming from, but at the same time I feel it's gotten to the point where no one wants to show interest anymore in fear of seeming too eager. And this mindset has hurt the dating atmosphere so bad that it's difficult to connect with people. Personally i feel like it all depends in what you're looking for, for example, if your goal is to be desirable and attract people in general maybe this 'mysterious' persona will work for you. In my case I loved listening and learning all about my boyfriend's life, I loved seeing his eagerness to talk to me, see me and in general getting to know me. I could feel his interest and that was so new and refreshing to me. It worked for us but again, it probably depends on what your goal is

I also agree. Much of what is shown in dating shows don't apply to real life. Dating is portrayed as a game in shows but everyone hates these types of games in real life. If someone doesn't show interest, I would just give up even being friends with them. Friendship and relationships are a two-way thing. If two people aren't putting in effort then it won't work out. Mysterious personas are never going to beat the peppy person that always wants to be with you in real life. And I feel like looks play a role, but it isn't as big as people think it does. I am 5 4' (162 cm) guy in a women-dominated nursing field and still had no problems dating.

This only applies to the begining stages of dating FOR women. A women should always present herself the best way possible + smile and be friendly then step back and MEN are the ones who chase. They don't deserve to know everything about you on the first date.. slowly opening up makes them value you more and it shows effort on their part. If a man acts mysterious and too cold I don't bother with him because I'm a woman and are not willing to chase a man. That's how it is in nature too males dance and build houses in order to impress the females. Afterwards if the man proves himself worthy, a woman can open up to him and deepen the relationship.

This was well explained and said! I don’t even know this person but going on different dates with really intellectual, super handsome men that were gentlemen, 6’1-6’6 in stature with really nice bodies and personalities, I’ve learned that when I was super confident and acted like I didn’t care, they would pursue. The abundance mindset is accurate, and when I challenged them in the beginning with high standards and boundaries, most men would rise up to the occasion. They’d invite me to fancy restaurants, and I always met them There, never let them pick me up in case for safety and also so we’re not alone in their car. They were surprised by that. Never kissing on the first date or expecting that will always get me a call back and more dates. Letting a man talk and prove himself is key and not being a chatterbox trying to impress men or avoid over sharing. Being mysterious does help when you actually are observing and taking your time to observe if their behavior lines up with their words. It allows you to read their body language and let the man do the work. This is coming from a woman who used to over talk or try to impress the man. I love what you said also about taking time and not ever acting desperate or needy. Those things can have a man like you one week and want to run the next, so keeping it cool, calm, and collected is important. I also believe consistency and being sure of oneself and rewarding good behavior little by little and letting him earn trust and earn you is also very important to eventually having them commit. Also if it doesn’t work out, remember The faster you can get rid of the wrong guy is the sooner the right one can find you!!

I would say that knowing your self-worth is crucial while dating but you have to keep in mind that it is not wrong when you feel a lack of something. Everybody has some kind of wounds inside themselves and needing some kind of validation is human. There is nothing wrong about communicating your needs and wishes. Emphasis on communicating, not acting out on it. Many people tend to believe that their partner has to know what's going on inside their head and immediately comfort them and when they don't they think "well, it's not meant to be. I know my self worth and therefore I'll have to leave, becaus he/she is just not right for me". From my point of view this is just unfair. Communicate what you need and your partner will try and learn how to treat you. So vice versa

Those saying it's because "she's pretty" don't understand the power of her mindset; being so relax and confident and smooth will not only attract people but boost your trust in yourself and how you approach anything in life; it will help you focus on yourself and therefore you will know how to hone your beauty, inside out! She's not so pretty by not doing nothing, she takes good care of herself and the results follow! She wears colors that look great on her, make up that enhance her features and does her skin care seriously. Notice how she stands apart with all the other girls? She does things differently because it works for her! You're already born with what you have so work with it, improve anything you can and see how people will admire you. Complaining will not get you anywhere and you also will never stop comparing yourself with others because you're not paying attention to yourself as much as you can. This is the way to love yourself step 1.

I haven't watch Singles Inferno but Jia appeared on a few episodes of Korean reality show 'Friends' which was a spin off show with members of Season 2&3 of Heart Signal. What was interesting was, when she was introduced to S2 'alpha' Hyun Woo, she came off as desperate. She quietly showed interest but he wasn't having it. I think with these types they lose interest when men fawn over them and cling to those men who don't. Either way she's making her rounds on reality TV so take everything with a grain of salt.

Idk. I feel like being the “quiet, mysterious” girl only works if you’re skinny and pretty lol because I’ve experienced it as both a fat girl and a slimmer girl and the reactions to me are night and day. When I’m fat, I’m “weird” and “unapproachable” but when I’m skinny, I’m suddenly “cool” and “interesting”. I realized that both men and women reacted to me this way. Unfortunately, in dating, people are naturally attracted by looks first. Jia would never have problems finding a man, no matter her personality. Confidence isn’t easy to have if you have always hated yourself, and alot of people just fake confidence. But the best thing you can do to attract people is to be genuine and be unapologetically yourself.
@jc7579
@jc7579 Жыл бұрын
I agree. If you are pretty and skinny you are considered in positive light NO MATTER what. People saying its not all in the looks are delusional. Lets be real men from patriarchal societies like s.korea dont even pay attention to women they consider ugly. Its sad.
@xoxolorae
@xoxolorae Жыл бұрын
@@jc7579 Yeah, this is unfortunately so true in Korea. I’m Korean American and I’ve always been a bigger girl. In the states, I get pretty neutral responses from men but in Korea, I do not exist lol. And in general, men are way more judgmental towards non-skinnier girls. So as much as I’d like to say, being the cool, confident, mystery girl may seem ideal, it really backfires in real life, unless you’re already attractive. And for Korean men, doesn’t necessarily matter if you’re not conventionally pretty, but if you’re not skinny, you’ll have a hard time ever dating.

"I don't chase, I attract." Literally my mindset exactly! I always put my own needs first instead of someone else's, because why would I? 🤨 what also works is when someone is trying to put you down you should just completely ignore them. Doing so could make them feel stupid or lose confidence which could instantly make them attracted to your own confidence. 🏃‍♂️

You are very right on this video. Both girls Jia & Seulki (the new cast on latest Single's Inferno) are the most popular among men in both seasons. They share the same mysterious traits and mindset. Has anyone ever wonder, what would happen if Seulki & Jia were cast on the same season ? 😁
@ruiqi22
@ruiqi22 Жыл бұрын
I don’t think Seulki is mysterious or she doesn’t intend to be at least. You see her getting very awkward and giggly with someone she likes because she’s shy versus being more open and talkative with everyone else. Versus Jia who maintained her composure around everyone.
@ruiqi22
@ruiqi22 Жыл бұрын
@@jam20230 I agree that both seemed almost magnetic on the show. I think Seulki’s mystery came from being too shy to reveal much about herself whereas Jia’s mystery came from being confident enough not to show all her cards at once. But they were both tight-lipped compared to people like So-e who went after what she wanted and Seoeun who talked all night with Yoongjae.
@ruiqi22
@ruiqi22 Жыл бұрын
@@jam20230 Haha, I don't think they revealed *too* much! That's just the way they are, and some people will be drawn to them because they're cheery and open whereas others will like people who are more mysterious. A lot of the men on the show liked Seoeun too! And she came out of it with someone she's still dating. Everyone has different attractive qualities that they can embrace; if Seoeun tried to be the second Jia, she probably would have come off as insincere and cold and left without finding anyone.
@jam20230
@jam20230 Жыл бұрын

@ruiqi22
@ruiqi22 Жыл бұрын
@@jam20230 Did your replies from earlier disappear? They’re not showing up for me anymore 😢 Regarding Jia being most memorable, I definitely think that’s true, but you have to remember that there’s a physical aspect to that (she has a rare style of beauty that she knows how to emphasize) and that not every man wants the same thing. Seo-eun was pursued by both Yoongjae and Hanbin. Sehoon kept going after Jiyeon despite Jia being there since day 1. Sejun was considering Sejeong but ultimately decided to platonically couple up with So-e. Ultimately, you don’t need or want to attract every man in the world, nor will you be able to. You just need to find someone who’s compatible with you. And Seoeun did that without being mysterious. Which is why I don’t think there’s really such thing as revealing too much. Whatever you feel comfortable revealing is the perfect amount for the person who’s compatible with you.

If I have her look, I'd be confident as hell that I won't even need to talk at all to attract anyone. Let's be real. The thing that makes jia attractive is because SHE IS attractive. She looks even more attractive because her appearance is outstanding but her personality is okay, like she's not a pick me girl thing or annoying spoiled brat or sum. She didn't have to try to do anything because having an "okay" personality is enough to complete her perfect image. I'll give you an extreme example: Jang wonyoung She actually has the same look and aura. But her charisma was turned off for some people because of her attitude that kinda show her pick me girl side. That's why many people don't like her. But on the other side, there are a lot more people still like her cuz her look has always been a showstopper everywhere she goes. You'll see so many people actually have the same character with jia, but they'd still invisible because they aren't attractive enough to make people stare at them. That's how important your look is to attract people. And for some people out there, it's totally okay to be the opposite. I'm ugly but never did "overshare" to attract anyone. Sometimes we do that out of control, it's just a part of how we communicate on daily basis when we find a comfortable circle, so it's not even a bad thing as long as it didn't hurt anybody. And if some people didn't find it attractive, that's okay. We don't have to be attractive to live. Just do what comfortable for you. But this video still had a point and good advice tho.

And stop with the "but I'm still ugly" "but others think I'm ungly" YOU ARE MAKING YOU THINK THAT And even if something says that to you like your friend or parents why listen to that.
