It’s good to see you again. I am a semi retired cleaning lady. I had 23 clients when I decided it was time to slow down. Most of my clients only wanted me to surface clean. Like you I performed many tasks like painting and some gardening. Charged $30 an hour and for disgusting houses I priced it so they would decline. Cleaned 2 houses 6 days a week and a law office on Sunday after church.

Hi Alice! I almost added to the video that pricing too high can be a great way to avoid jobs that you don’t want to do. Im glad you mentioned that! Do you mind telling us which country you live in where that rate applies? Thanks so much for your kind words and adding your perspective on your pro experiences! Wishing you the best! 💕💐💕

@@alicebunt5453 it’s interesting that we both charge the same hourly rate, since I live in Canada. Thanks Alice! 😊🫶

I love that you steer away from nasty chemicals....not good for you or your clients to have a lot of chemicals in the home. There are studies that prove chemicals in cleaning products can be as harmful as smoking and can cause lung damage. So YAY for you to use natural products! I like Dr Bronner's castile soap because it has a TON of uses! I didn't realize right away how concentrated it is, so one bottle goes a LONG way. I like using vinegar and baking soda too. You fold bath towels like I do! 😊 And you also do painting, gardening and laundry?? You are a woman of many talents and skills...a "Jill of all trades". Your clients are so blessed to have you! You gave great advice to someone watching that wants to start a cleaning business. I have a friend and her daughter who clean businesses. But it requires going in after hours and that is hard on them. Cleaning homes is hard enough. Great video!!! ❤

Hello Orlene! It is so important to use cleaners that minimize impact on your health and the environment. I'm so glad you use Dr. Bronner's! I agree that it can be used on nearly everything, including ourselves which is so reassuring. House Cleaning is only about a third of the jobs that I do these days, because it opened so many other doors for me. I like to wear many hats! Thank you so much for checking out the video and for sharing your thoughts! WIshing you a beautiful Easter weekend ahead and send love.

Thank you Jack! It’s definitely a video for a select smaller audience but I sure appreciate your support! I’m working on an off grid bath house video right now, and Dakota makes a few appearances ☺️ Wishing you an amazing day! ✌️

Hey where can I get the Vileda Ultramax Flat Mop? The snaps and the squeeze out part are why I like that design but I tried to order it on Amazon but it doesn't send to different addresses in the United States. Plus your ceilings video and walls video are from 8-9 years ago. So in the present I am having difficulty sourcing the mop you recommend. Do you have any recommendations of where to get the mop? Thank you!

Hi Miranda! Sorry that I forgot to mention in the video that in the USA the same system may be called Cedar O Mop system. I tried to look it up for you but it seems to insist on giving me items that ship to Canada. The mop system did come up though when I put in Cedar O mop. I just had to scroll down a bit to find it. It had a bundle with the mop, bucket and extra cleaning cloth attachment. You may also find it at hardware stores or Walmart. In Canada it is available at Canadian tire and Home Hardware. I hope you can find it online or at a local store because it really is a game changer and makes house cleaning so much easier. Please do let me know if you find it so I can put a note for other people from the USA in the description. Best of luck and thanks for stopping in! 🙂
