I learned many skills in that job that I use in every other job since, including my career as a professional school counselor. It’s an honest job, and honestly therapeutic. Nothing less-than about it! I can’t seem to stay away from cleaning though, I clean at the school that I counsel at in the evenings haha!

I am loving your cleaning videos. I am spending my Sunday "collecting information" on your channel to prepare me with another week. Any tips on cleaning a LCD flat screen tv? It's streaked already and I don't want to make it worse.
@DebbieNobodyneedstoknow113 күн бұрын
You’re so kind! Thank you for watching! It’s a pleasure to hear from you 😊 Do you know what the streaks are from? If a cleaner was used on it, then a cloth with slightly warm water that is well rung out may remove the residue. It has to be dried with a soft cloth immediately or it will streak. It’s best to do a small section at a time. Screens can be tricky depending on the type so clean it at your discretion. Wishing you the very best! 💕💐

Thank you for taking the time to get back to me. Yes it was a glass cleaner. I sprayed it on a cloth then wiped it on the screen😢. I will try what you you've recommended. Thank you again Debbie 💓
@DebbieNobodyneedstoknow113 күн бұрын
@@Cottage-Reader You are so welcome! I hope that works for you. It may need two wipes to remove the residue. Glass cleaner really does streak badly. A tiny bit of Ivory dish soap in a bucket of water cleans windows and glass way better. It leaves them shiny just like our drinking glasses. Thanks again for stopping by! 💞

You don't even want to see what our bathroom ceiling looks like. I sprayed it down with cleaning vinegar, and then realized I can't reach the ceiling in the spots where I have nothing to stand on. 😆It is BAD. Really bad mold & mildew, and guess what Hubby does for a living? Kitchen & bath renos! Haha. Yeah. We didn't have a bathroom fan when we moved in, so it got pretty nasty. Now the ceiling is falling apart. I think I will need protective goggles as well scrubbing it for all the plaster coming down. Anyway, I'm going to have to get me one of them there Vileda mops/bucket. I already have some sort of Dr Brohner stuff down in the basement.
@DebbieNobodyneedstoknow114 күн бұрын
Lol! Pro House Cleaners have messy houses, mechanics have broken cars and reno husbands have bathrooms with broken fans! I'm sure it's on the list of "Honey do's". With no ventilation bathroom ceilings can get very nasty, and I've seen some very nasty ones in my cleaning career. I hope the mold and mildew is light enough to still remove and not set in. The mop system will make it far easier to clean. Dust off the Dr. Bronner's and put it to work for you. All the best to you!

Debbie, you are my kinda gal, we're even about the same age! I'm in the process of collecting materials for my she-shed/maybe future grandchildren playhouse. I have some building experience, I've built a few trellises, a couple of chicken coops and runs, but I DON'T enjoy the process of building, I actually hate it! However, I enjoy saving money doing it myself and the finished product, that's what keeps me motivated -- the thought of the finished product. I have shed (pun intended) many MANY tears and let far too many "colorful metaphors" slip past my angry quivering lips (Lord forgive me!)- so I completely understand where you are coming from. Your sweet lil she shed may not be perfect, but --- YOU DID IT!🥹❤️

O'Cedar and others make similar mops, careful not to pinch yourself with this one. As for soap, Dawn and warm water works as good as anything unless you want a certain scent. And of course this works on walls and floors, also.
@DebbieNobodyneedstoknow12 ай бұрын
I have never pinched myself luckily. Personally I prefer Ivory because it has no dyes and I don't have to worry about any discolouring. It has happened to me before. I prefer Ivory's cleaning capabilities as well. It doesn't over foam which is easier to rinse and leaves no residue. I have tried pretty much every dish soap and cleaner available over my 35+ yrs of experience. Dr. Bronner's is my preferred wall, ceiling and floor cleaner because it works so well, doesn't require rinsing and has a wonderful scent. It is safe for nearly every kind of surface as well. I have lots of videos on this mop system's many uses and it does save lots of time on cleaning. Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing you the best! 🙂

A better way is to install a sheet of tin foil underneath that item and then you would never need to use a chemical , just chang the tin foil underneath your hood

I’ve seen messes bypass the tin foil somehow ☺️ It does help to keep the severity down, but it can also sometimes grease itself to the surface from spills and become hard to remove. Thanks for coming by! 😊

Hey where can I get the Vileda Ultramax Flat Mop? The snaps and the squeeze out part are why I like that design but I tried to order it on Amazon but it doesn't send to different addresses in the United States. Plus your ceilings video and walls video are from 8-9 years ago. So in the present I am having difficulty sourcing the mop you recommend. Do you have any recommendations of where to get the mop? Thank you!
@DebbieNobodyneedstoknow12 ай бұрын
Hi Miranda! Sorry that I forgot to mention in the video that in the USA the same system may be called Cedar O Mop system. I tried to look it up for you but it seems to insist on giving me items that ship to Canada. The mop system did come up though when I put in Cedar O mop. I just had to scroll down a bit to find it. It had a bundle with the mop, bucket and extra cleaning cloth attachment. You may also find it at hardware stores or Walmart. In Canada it is available at Canadian tire and Home Hardware. I hope you can find it online or at a local store because it really is a game changer and makes house cleaning so much easier. Please do let me know if you find it so I can put a note for other people from the USA in the description. Best of luck and thanks for stopping in! 🙂

Will this clean soot in the ceiling too?.. won’t it be stripes?:/ I’ve heard you need to dry mop the ceiling first?..
@DebbieNobodyneedstoknow13 ай бұрын
Soot is hard to clean but this method with the Dr. Bronner’s is your best bet. Hard areas may require some magic eraser and elbow grease, or going over the area with the mop twice. It depends on how bad it is. Dry mopping won’t likely do anything unless there are lots of webs that need removing first. I hope the soot cooperates! Doing it by hand would surely leave more streaks than the mop system. Best of luck! 😊
