So a lot of people have been telling me stories of how they can't play light in ranked, or people often hate playing with a light. I'm hoping I can show that even if you aren't top fragging you can still have an amazing impact for your team.

1 of the biggest things with light ( to be able to play it at the highest tier) you need to 2 very solids teammates that will be able to play in a 2v3 while you as a light are trying to get a off angle or trying to get a pick or throwing ur glitches to create a opening for your teammates to push. Also baiting ur team is a big thing with light (ik it sounds scummy) but its just the truth you have to bait ur team to be able to get a pick or even a important glitch nade off its just what you have to do to be able to play light to its full potential.

Couldnt agree more. Baiting spunds scummy but for light with good positioning and playing slightly off from your team not directly on top of them is where light shines. Tho even then its quite sad that people still consider light a troll pick in ranked. The only downside about light is the team composition would be very rigid. A light requires your other 2 teammates to be mesh shield heavy and healing beam medium. Any other team comps just aren't viable in higher lobbies / in the final round.

im excited for the gateway gadget coming into season 2! light never really had any movement gadgets to help their team get in or out of a fight fast. id love to see a video on the gateway grenades in season 2 once you've mastered it, i feel it could be an extremely useful gadget for light! keep up the great work on these videos man💪

They definitely do. My first ranked game, I as a light main, paired with a guy, who's gamertag, was "if you pick light I go afk"

I always run stun and frag but I don’t know if vanish bomb or glitch grenade is better. My special is dash

My personal build. Dash, LH1, glitch, drag, and vanish. I personally love the lh1 because I’m a threat at all ranges. Ditched the stun gun because when using the lh1 I never really used the stun gun like with the smg. Glitch is my opener, then I shoot if they are in the open or frag if they camp. Vanish combos well with team and for escape. Helps to recharge a dash while I’m vanished.

I love the LH1. Only thing that makes me reluctant to use it is the arial accuracy debuff. Only gun in the game with it for no reason, would be god tier otherwise.

I’m a great light player but no one wants to play with light in ranked it’s so annoying. The class needs something added that’s valuable to the team and it just doesn’t have it right now.

I agree, I consistently die 1 or 2 times a match, sometimes none, have high kills and assists, and high objective points, and I get paired with guys with gamertags saying "I go afk if you pick light", then if I pick Medium and run support, keeping them alive takes all my attention and they bitch that I have no kills. They want someone that can heal and do damage like a light, makes no sense.

@@jordankelly4684 I hate playing anything but light. They are missing out on a huge piece of player base. If they buffed light so many more people would play. They have to give light the ability to steal faster than any other class. That would instantly value and everyone would want a light on a ranked team

@@Tannerz12 Dash is incredible if you get very good with it. Makes it almost impossible to be hit up close, you just move past them so quickly they can't turn and hit you fast enough. Invis is a lot easier and requires much less skill in my opinion Both are very good, but I think a good dash player can help the team more than invis player

@@srgnt0sprinklesinvis definitely has a skill ceiling too tho. It might be overall easier for new players to pick up, but they still have to learn to use it effectively. It's all down to personal preference and I personally use and enjoy it all. Oh and tbh I'd argue that grapple has a higher ceiling than either dash or invis and is equally as clutch as both in its own special way.

@@human.skyscraper of course, everything has a skill ceiling. I just think dash has a much higher one. As someone who's very good with dash will be so unbelievably difficult to kill. Invis loses a lot of its functionality if you get hit once and revealed and I find them a lot easier to deal with than a good dash player Grapple has a high skill ceiling too, but it's 15 second cooldown (if I remember it right).makes it take too long to be as effective as dash and invis in my opinion

In my personal experience dash is definitely the best for me when I'm just trying to have fun and cook people, but if I'm playing ranked, I will almost always pick invis. As a solo queuer I think invis gets you out of a lot more shit than dash can. 3 dashes sometimes isn't enough to rotate and get a better position where the (what like.. 20 secs??) Of invis, a majority of the time, will be plenty to get to my revives or high ground. Idk Just my opinion. I think we can both agree that this game fucks tho 👀

Light is too weak, i think a extra 25hp would really help light Edit: imo, invis sucks and it doesn't help lights think about positioning, but thete are so many things that wouldn't instantly fuck up other classes such as explosions that do affect lights, the only people who I've seen say that stuff like that aren't a problem are normally medium and heavy mains. Its not the fact that he CAN'T do anything, its the fact that its so much more easier to get value as playing ANY OTHER class, with mediums powerful and meta defining support with defibs and heal beam and with heavies mesh shield and dome shield. The only thing that's keeping light from being unplayable is taser and glitch.

If light had 175 health they would be almost impossible to beat in 1v1 scenarios. I think the balance on light is pretty good considering it's easily the best class in game lol.

You have the fastest class, faster health regen and invis. What more do you need? Light is ez to play and I don't use cheesy ass invis
