This is such a cool technique! I've hated wasting felt on my hoops so I'm going to give this a try. I love the white beads you are using for this project!

71F pellon is 5-6 $ a yard at Walmart

I’m in Canada so our Walmarts suck 😂 my favourite felt is a little pricier than that unfortunately

Do you use stiffen felt more then Pellon? I have found it’s hard to get the needle through the pellon.

Being new to beading I’m not sure what the purpose or advantage of using a hoop is… can you explain? Tia!

It helps give your hands a break! If you find your hands, wrist, or forearm get sore from beading long hours the hoop helps by allowing you to use both hands to bead (versus using one to hold your piece and the other to bead). I get tendinitis in my dominant hand when I bead too much but using the hoop has eliminated that almost entirely 😁

It’s saves felt to use the mesh versus using a large piece of felt only to secure it to the hoop 😁
