Absolutely adore this game. It's like it's taken the Bloodborne formula and added some ninja gaiden and created the perfect game. People say these boss fights aren't memorable but the ice women, the vampire women, the fucking awesome toad & the big cat were incredible fights

A pretty weak and unhelpful list, some of the advice is just outright incorrect and most of the rest is immediately evident to any player. Useful information like which stance is best, what elements the bosses are weakest to and which armour, spirit or charms to equip are missing and you spend only about 30-40 seconds on each boss describing only a couple of moves. I've come back to this video a couple of times when I was stuck on one of these bosses and never received any helpful advice.

Considering that your tips are horrible, allow me to elaborate actual tips for these bosses. 1) *Nue* The chest is indeed the weak point for this boss, and the best way to exploit it is to use a mid stance spear's heavy attack whenever it is attacking with lightning in order to get it to stagger. You can do this either by baiting the lightning breath attack and then coming up on it's right side to poke it or doing it when it tries to build up for the four lightning strikes. Once Nue is out of Ki, you can get off one or two combos on him, but be careful though, as it's retaliation animation in order to gain it back will drop two devastating lightning bolts both directly in front of it and directly over you (aka, if you're standing right in front of it, you're going to have a bad time). 2) *Giant Toad* Keep close to him (dodge around him to avoid his attacks) and just make sure not to be directly in front of him so he doesn't smack you with his pipe. When he jumps up into the air, briefly back up and then once again close the distance, as he has very few ways to deal with you when you're so close. 3) *Giant Centipede* This fight isn't hard as much as it is annoying. He has a ton of health, and if you don't kill all of the poison stones when they start running away, they will make the lower half of the level fill with poison. Unfortunately the best way to deal with this boss is to guard his strike when he runs into you so that he rears his head. From this point he can either shoot poison, paralyze, or lunge at you, and you want to hope for the latter. The lunge is not only easily blockable, but it reveals the weak spot in it's mouth, allowing you to do full damage and break it's Ki easily. 4) *Shima Sakon* This guy has a grab that he will normally pull out if you try to attack him repeatedly while he's guarding, so make sure to back off if you're done applying pressure to his Ki. When he activates Living Weapon, make sure to use attacks that damage Ki, and if you have it, use a Sloth talisman to make the fight less stressful. 5) *Gasha-Dokuro* If you play the stage correctly, this boss should be easy. Purifying all three crystals makes it so that you can have infinite Living weapon, and even without them there are multiple easy adds that jump into the fight in order to give you more elixirs. Unless you have no experience whatsoever in action adventure games, the boss' weak points should have been very clear to you. 6) *Hino-Enma* This boss pretty much requires you to use Anti-paralysis needles since the paralyze blast she utilizes is not only difficult to dodge, but will more than likely keep you frozen long enough for her to combo you. Normally she alternates between these blasts and a melee combo, meaning that she will very rarely do two in a row. In terms of her grapple, watch specifically for the black and white smoke at any point after one of her combos and dodge accordingly. It actually has a pretty small target box, so as long as you're moving away from it there shouldn't be a problem. Whenever she falls to the ground though, it's important to note that her first action after getting back up will always be to grapple as long as someone is in range. 7) *Umi-Bozu* this boss is extremely weak to fire bombs and especially to the Kayaku-dama type which only deals fire damage. You can light all of the braziers from around the level (3 in total), but it's important not to actually use them to power up your weapon. These braziers instantly kill all of the adds for this boss and his second phase is considerably more difficult with adds. The Beam of light which will always kill you in one-shot is heavily telegraphed, and can be noted by the fact that Umi-Bozu will rear his head back as if he was spitting something right before he does it. Directly after the beam, his eye is exposed, which will allow you to do full damage. Once Umi-Bozu joins you on solid ground, he will try two attacks, lunging, and jumping. Lunges are quick, but punishable as he will expose his eye, this is the best time to get in some melee strikes. Whenever he jumps, he will re-orient himself closer to you, if you're under him when he lands he'll deal a really large chunk of damage and then shrink slightly and reveal his weak spot. It's imperative that you do not attack him in melee after he jumps and instead try to use a ranged attack, as he will reform after only a few moments, and anything stuck within him will be dealt another large chunk of damage. 8) *Ogress* Another easy boss as long as you actually stay close to her. As long as you're breathing down her neck, you only have to worry about when she jumps into the air, and when she does a frenzied attack. Specifically whenever she Frenzies, you should do a combination of guards and dodges to back away as best you can, as it can spell game over if you take too many hits from it. During her summoning of the flowers, you can either use Salt or Purification to erase the yokai realm circles (There's also a Onmyo Magic that will make it so that whenever you step into a yokai realm circle that it is immediately purified). 9) *Yuki-Onna* It's actually smarter to stay close to this boss as much as possible since a lot of her attacks that have really hard tells are only pulled out if you're in long/mid-range. The telegraph for when she does a short-range stomp is much easier to notice and deal with (also note that all of these ice attacks, except for her Ki regeneration retaliation, stop having target boxes the moment they appear). The biggest problem for this fight can be when she stacks icicles overhead multiple times, since they are insanely hard to dodge at close range, and if you're at mid or long-range she will usually punish it with a dash grapple. When you do use your Living Weapon, watch out for when she puts an aoe ice patch directly below her when she tries to regain her Ki, as it will more than likely eat it away very rapidly.

That frog boss was nothing hard for me in comparison to the other, because with a" high amount of damage from behind" build he was an easy Clap.

Just a little heads up. I'm sure many of you know this but bosses also have their various weaknesses against elemental damage so make so to use the right one. If you can try to get two elemental status effect on the boss as it will inflict confusion and it will slow them down and make them stagger with every hit. That's the most useful one confusion so try and use that if you can.

A second tip when fighting Hino-Enma. When she's in the air and fires that gust of paralysis she leaves herself vulnerable to arrows and bullets

for every bosses in this game i have a simple trick, remember to save amor and use it on bosses, 5 shoot with your rife will probably rain half bos HP.

The ice person is kinda easy. So far I only truly truly struggled on the toad. For the ice person chip her down to half health and the just keep your distance and wait for her stab attack before then moving in and getting several hits.

Also, specing into ninjutsu and magic helps with slowing them and their stamina bar while buffing your attacks. Without them some of the bosses are extremely hard to where it seems unfair, with debuffs they seem pretty doable in 3-4 tries. The bat lady took me 10+ tries without any ninjitsu or magic. Took me about 2 tries with stamina debuffs applied to her.

Could not agree less with this list. The ones that I struggled the most with was Saika Magoichi and Ishida Mitsunari

Every Nioh boss had a attack patern to remember and the extra attacks. Only boss i found hard was shima sakon purely that i tried to rush out his ki like in both Li and Honda boss battles.

Ogress was easy as pie while Yuki onna was the bane of my existence

the best advice for most of niohs bosses is to stay close, be aggressive and manage your ki. most bosses are the most dangerous in mid range and paragraph their attacks loud and clear.

Toughest bosses in the game are Maria (on Way of the Strong), Fox+Hideyori in Everlasting Duty and Ishida Mitsunari in base game. I found all other bosses to be pretty doable with no major difficulty spike.

One, Great Centipede was easy. Two, if you block it's chasing attack, then dodge whichever spit it does, you can go in for easy damage.

How to Cheese Bosses Early Game: Weakness Talisman + Sloth but mostly Weakness, Post patch has made sloth practically useless unless you have duration accessories. Hino-Enma; You're given 9 Anti-paralytic needles throughout the Dungeon, the chest on the upper ledge in the room before the boss fight will usually always drop a Paralysis Onmori-Charm equip it. Quick-slot the needles to get out of para-hax. When she flies draw your bow and use Hemaya Arrows this will down her within 1-2 shots so you can mash on her. Be ready to flee when she stands as she will immediately vamp. Her weakness is primarily bows. Nue: Water Damage Weapon or Water Onmyo. Dance until four lighting strikes then close in on his chest, repeat. Giant Toad: Kusari. Get Reaper. When exposed circle around back. Reaper at half he'll jump to drain your ki to 0 evade this, repeat and he'll do it again at about 1/4th if your optimized he should be dead after those two openings Giant Centipede: Guard let him hit you. He rises. Move in he can't hit you 80% of time. Rinse and repeat. If the poison is a problem kill the stones. ANY HUMAN BOSS: Moment Talismans or Guardian Talismans Pick Daiba-Washi. Knock them on their ass, back stab, rinse and repeat. All human bosses can be cheesed this way. Umi-Bozu: You should have Enko by now. 1 Weakness Talisman and Spamming Enko will obliterate the blob before he can even his phase 2 1/2 the time. Ogress: Keep dodging left. When she goes bat shit run. Aside from that she's got the biggest booty of all the bosses and by this time you should have Kingo set for that sweet sweet attack from behind damage. Yuki-onna: IS LITERALLY NYE NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO CHEESE EARLY GAME. You just gotta git gud. Late game though ninjutsu build. But that build will cheese anything that can't block. Early Game Suggestion is to get a fire based Kusari go high stance and spam serpent strike whilst being careful. When she throws her spear get behind for a full combo then run.

You'd think being a Water Boss, Umi Buzo's weakness would be lightning, not fire.

Nue and the Centipede were a joke. I don't see why they're on this list.

Umi-Bozu's giant laser beam attack really should've been restricted until he moves from that first position. Twice I was one-shot with that attack before I even knew the fight had started.

The great centipede was so easy you just have to attack it from above and oggress seriously one of the easiest bosses in the game

Yuki girl was hard the first attempt. Then I figured out her attack patters. The hard part is having the patience and knowing when it's your time to strike. But honestly that goes for any boss in the game.

I've wiped every boss so far, not a single one has given me a challenge yet. The first boss (ice lady too) was the only one to kill me because I hate blocking from souls games. So it immediately became easy after blocking.. I play solo as well, haven't even tried coop yet so I'm unsure if its easier.

I'll only play Nioh if they make a playable Yuki Onna skin.

gashadokuro is actually easy if you have living weapon the golden circles of ki keep the living weapon active so basically you only have to stand inside them and keep the dmg to the minimum and you have infinite living weapon, well of course if you transformed the red crystals . but if you think yuki ona is hard fight her with Oda nobunaga as dance partner, and the duo onda, muneshige (optional encounters).

I have a feeling Nobunaga will be the real boss of bosses :p, bring it on!!

Just did Yuki-onna which was very easy using the handgun. The bosses I struggled heavily were Hino-Enma and Umi-Bozu. Centipede was like a joke.

I had trouble with Hino-Enma at first, beat her on my 4th try. Now I beat her super easy. Yuki-Onna I did on my second attempt because I messed up the first. The Centipede I did on my first try which was super easy with the Guardian Spirit and the Poison Amulet equipped. It's really just reading the bosses moves. I've literally just beaten Yuki-Onna and I am loving this game. Now Tachibana Muneshige gave me a lot of trouble 8 tries!

No mention of Muneshige and his thunder-corgi of doom?

I like this game, but the artificial difficulty is such bullshit. Every damn Yokai 2 shots you no matter how far into the story you are.

The great centipede's jaws can be blocked for 50% of your ki and then he rears up to fire a projectile or 3. Stay in low stances and power attack once when he rears up and twice after you dodge the projectiles, then retreat to refill ki. This strateogy made the boss a cakewalk.

Hinoema and Giant Toad are easy with katana Giant Toad: Low instance, block his attacks and hit 3 times, sometimes 4, his back, sometimes you can dodge to his right Hinoema: Dodge everything, except some of his melee attacks

well he just dont know how to fight those boss,always looking for their weak spot for instance, nue weak spot is their torso, if you hit its glowing torso it will drain its ki and when their ki is depleted it will makes the fight so much easier and for ume bozu, you just dont bluntly attack its body, wailt for its hand-thinggy attack, ume bozu will leave a glowing orange at the tip of its and, attacking it will result much more damage, if you just attack their body it will takes forever

how to beat most of Nioh bosses: 1. Go near boss 2. Side step to go behind them 3. Attack them when behind them 4. When boss is around 40% hp use your spirit guardian 5. GG WP Not working/still having issues? Use sloth power then :P

There are only two remotely difficult bosses on this list. Shima and Yuki-onna

Yuki-onna is super easy. Her tracking is very slow. If you just stay pressed up against her - point blank an always doge to the left you will doge every move. Just role back if you see her AOE start up (Raises staff). One of the easiest in the game.

I can confidently say.. None of this works..

any practical strategy to take down the yokai monks? out of the normal enemies this guys are the ones that give me the most problems.

How can Mitsunari not be on this list? He is by far the most difficult boss in the main game.

Hino Enma was a pain in the ass, especially since you fight her early in the game. Huge jump in difficulty from the first 2 bosses. Yuki Onna sucked too. Rest of the list I didn't have too much trouble with.

Did Nue is 3rd try, Giant Centipede in 2nd try, Hino Enma the 1st dead for 1 hour straight but i repeated after fully understandimg her myseld, did it in 1st try in twilight mode...tbh, reaction speed is easy for a god eater player o.O

I battled the frosty gal boss forever always dying! Until i released the best way to deal with this is to keep your distance and shoot her in the head. the stab attack only goes so far in range and leaves here open for a massive hand cannon to the head. By far the easiest way to deal with this boss. First phase isn't too difficult its when she starts the stab that it gets really hard thats when range attacks work like a treat

a lot of these bosses can be managed by slowing them down with Onmyo magic, Sloth in particular, will help you dodge kill shot attacks and more importantly, capitalize on weak moments. with the + ninjutsu you have things like power pills or if you want to slow them down farther use a makibishi. I highly recommend getting, blinding shell, power pill, sloth, Rejuvenation talisman, protection talisman, resist talisman (poison and paralysis), and steel talisman. also, try to keep your skill points into 1 weapon type, personally I went with spear. get in the habit of changing stances frequently to situation and roll with elemental enhanced weapons. the tick damage you get adds up fast, damn near doubles your dps in low stance. if your enemies are blocking a lot, use a high stance and break their stamina. There's my personal tip! :D go beat some ass!

Did Yuki-onna first try,didnt even see her second phase

On NUE you should not constantly be on his side. He will spin around and pound you with his tail and claws. Keep your distance, if he shakes his body he will summon 4 lightning strikes. Keep moving to avoid them, if one hits you, the next one will kill you before you can even recover and move. Try to make him shot a beam of lightning from his mouth by facing him but keep your distance. When he shoots, move fast to his side and make a few quick strikes and move away fast. Being patient is the key early in the game.

This game is so DAMN good! It actually does some things better than Souls, and they are my favorite games. The only souls-like that lives up to the hype!

i like this game because it didn't feel like it was TRYING to be difficult like dark souls and bloodborne, while still being pretty challenging. although i will admit this game was a hell of a lot easier than dark souls and bloodborne, as i managed to beat just about every boss on my first try without too much difficulty

the frosty girl the hardest boss? killed her 2nd try, only trouble was the 2nd phase lunge attack. you do need to have light armor tho to be quick on your feet. For me I think Ogress was the most challenging so far, or one of the side mission bosses.

an easy way to kill centipede is to air attack around half way up his body and the amitria you gain should get you your ability so then youbuse your ability to finish him and them rince and repeat

Niohs bosses are somewhat easy in my opinion. I die the first time then I learn how to quickly defeat them the second time. Again it's just about stamina management and which stance to use during the fight. Bosses that give you huge hit windows I use high stance and those that just attack you constantly I use low stance to dodge more often and for fast light attacks on them.

dude the centipede rly isnt a hard boss at all .... i'd call him one of the easier ones honestly

nue is easy as fuck. DON'T keep close to it, run around until you notice a wooden shelter, let nue blast through its walls - same kinda walls that are all over the arena - and then hide beneath that shelter. dodge when it uses the electric beam, attack when it rears up to use the lightning attack. easy no damage.

One of the most danger Bosses is... WATER! During some Boss fights, I died more because of drowning than Killed by Boss :P

There’s no reason to make hino-enma so complicated. Dodge her very first charge (at the beginning of the fight), hit her with 1 sloth and 1 weakness talisman (respectively), then hit her with a guardian spirit talisman (preferably Kato). She’ll get knocked down, at which point you can damage her with executions and stuff. If you don’t have sloth and weakness talismans, just the guardian spirit talismans are enough. Use them wisely and she’s an easy fight

Umi Bozu was the toughest for me, till i figured out you could just spam the fire breathing masks on him to murder the fuck out of him.

I have died and died and died over and over again. As much as I get frustrated with this game I just keep on playing. Great game. Only level 25 and Hino-Emma just keeps crushing me

as a big souls fan, i played bloodborne and the surge to with several new game plsu I need to say that in some points Nioh can be harder the the from software games... maybe its relied to the fact that the combats take so much longer

This feels more like it's for brand new comers who are going in bare bones. If that's the intention, great, but if its not, why? Some of these bosses, with the massive exception of Yuki-Onna, aren't really that difficult. Especially if you have magic or ninjutsu. :)

Its better to fight yuki onna exacly opposite. Stay close becouse she has a lot high range attacks. Staying close, scoring a hit or 2 and jumping away before her AoE strikes is best. Keeping distance is best way to prolong the fight and lose more hp. Agressivnes is key.

I'm only about halfway through the game, but I thought Yukki Onna was one of the easiest bosses so far... She's slow, has predictable ranged attacks, and has an obvious weakness to fire.

Don’t use the fires in the boss room, they are stopping mobs from spawning, use your own fire

Sorry, but its hard to take your boss list seriously when lots of "hard" parts could have dealt whit just by using purification which you didnt show not even once... and half of those bosses in your list are easy ones.
