Chris, for the last year or so I have been working from home and really struggled with motivation. I can rely on you to give me that boost to keep going and motivate myself. Ok Monday I return to the office full time. I admit it will be strange and may be hard. My time to watch KZfaq will also reduce. Riding the Disneyland Railroad is my favorite way to keep cool. As the ride moves you get good air flow and you're seated the whole time. The scenery is always changing.

I was just there Monday and OMG it was 96 degrees! I was there with my 70-something year old mom and she was a trooper, fortunately she's in good health. We were there about 13 hours and it was awesome, but even more awesome after 6 p.m. when the sun was not blaring on us any longer.

Hi Chris, my family and I went to Disneyland for the first time last week because of your videos and how much of a fan our daughter Paige is of you and your channel and we ran into you that day at Great Moments with Mr Lincoln! I just want to say thank you so much for what you do and for taking the time to talk to our daughter and take a picture with her. Yes bring in your own water. I doordashed a case of water from Walgreen's to my hotel. Along with some snacks so we didn't spend so much money. I was there in April and it was getting so hot already. Can't imagine being there during the summer all day. Never again lol I'll do October more often

Correction: the canoes can be a way to cool off. If the child in front of you does not know how to row and splashes you with every turn, you will be cool by the end. 😀

Your videos are getting me excited for Disneyland. There's much to learn since I was there last about 12 years ago. I'm 61 and have been there as a young child a couple of times, a teen, Grad Nite, with my kids a couple of times, and this October it will be just my wife and I. I've seen it from all different ages and perspectives. We're so looking forward to it. Thanks for all the info.

I work at Walt Disney World- Hollywood Studios and I’m always struggling with the heat! It only sometimes cools off when it’s cloudy or raining during the summer. It’s also super hot when coming to the parks as a guest, so all these tips are super helpful!! I’ve been to Disneyland and California Adventure only once and I just love watching your videos and feeling like I’m there.

It's always good advice to remind people to use sunscreen/sunblock and stay hydrated! We had a trip during summer a few years ago. One day was to be 105, and we chose to escape the heat by going back to the hotel and literally use the hotel pool and hotel AC to get away for a few hours. The next day wasn't as hot, so we toughed it out in the park, using most of the things you said. All good advice for sure! We were annual pass holders.

My wife and haven’t been back sense 2019. Were planing on coming back sometime in 2023. Looking forward to it. Usually though when it gets hot while we’re there we go back to the hotel for a few hours. Usually about 1-5. Generally by the time we get back to the park we have some dinner, hit splash mountain, then it’s usually pretty comfortable after that.

Just a couple adds to your thoughts. You should really make sure you pre hydrate the day before your visit and continue to drink during the visit. Also when applying sunscreen don’t forget the ears and the back of your neck as well as any other exposed skin like the top of your hands and arms . Hats are a really big help also. Chris, I needed this video today! Not only is my family headed to Disneyland and DCA in a couple days, so these tips are perfect timing for us, but I've been having a very off day. Thanks for including my favorite place in Disneyland resort, which is the Animation building lobby. The dark atmosphere and great Disney music really makes taking a break into a magical experience. For those with mobility issues, the entire area is ECV accessible and you can stay in your chair, including in the animation academy and turtle talk attractions.

Hey Chris, your videos really helped me plan my trip for Disneyland last year. My favorite area to cool down is the animation building in DCA. It's nice to watch a bunch of other Disney movies while the cool air is blowing on you. I don't go to Disneyland as much during the summer time as I used to when I was an annual pass holder. The summer time is too hot for me and I have sensitive skin so I have to be careful. Thank you for the information on how to beat the heat as I learned so many more locations throughout Disneyland to cool down! My tip to add onto the hydration: gatorade/powerade/propell. Not only do a lot of kids struggle with wanting to drink water because of how it tastes, but a lot of adults struggle with a variety of heat sickness that can be caused by a lack of electrolytes. Both can be solved with the mentioned bevarages. A lot of the food places on property do have gatorade/powerade, and a lot of grocery stores sell propel packets (as well as the bottled variety obviously, but the packets are overall cheaper).

One thing I’ve tried lately was to ask for a cup of ice for my water bottle when I bought something to eat or during a meal. The water fountains are not always cold at all, so the added ice cools down the water. It doesn’t take long for the ice to melt! Also take advantage of places for lunch and dinner that have indoor seating when you can.

I recently found out we can just walk in to plaza inn and fill up our water flask with ice at the self serve soda area.
