I'm fairly certain a confession video could be used as grounds for a retrial in the United States. This particular confession video could not, because the confession was given under duress, but normally a confession would be new and compelling evidence.

Depends, Federal court can do it even if the state did. It is not murky there. On an unrelated note, you can be charged with the same crime twice even if found not guilty if the jurisdictions of states collide. Like in theory if she had done this crime exactly on state lines where the kid was half in her state and half in another. @@THambrough

I actually think that her confessing was the correct way to go... All she had to do was claim that she confessed because she was literally under duress & her daughter was being held hostage. No way that evidence sticks in court. Also sobbing woman. 😂😂

@@zekrom6537Human killers are only more dangerous because they are real. Obviously, if the supernatural was real too, then they would technically be more dangerous because of their power. For example, if a person tries to murder you, you could defend yourself and possibly kill them. If a ghost wants to murder you, you can’t fight back against them. You can’t stab them, can’t shoot them, etc. Not to mention that some monsters, like vampires, are basically just like human psychopaths, but stronger. Evil humans are basically just weak monsters. I’d say the only way for a human to be more dangerous is to have a lot of resources and manpower. Like a general who is a war criminal.

I'm not sure if the door gag came up in the script afterwards or was already planned/revised during editing. Because the only reason I COULD remember the door being closed, was that it was weirdly prominent in the cut. Can't even say why it stood out, but it certainly was a lot more clear than asking what color the jacket was or if the candles on the cake were lit.

Depends on where you are in the world, there are a surprising number of countries that don't care about new and compelling evidence. But in the US yeah a confession could be considered new and compelling evidence.
