You are NOT making it out of a knife to empty-handed combat scenario like John Wick. You're getting cut or stabbed. I have disarmed someone in a CQB situation, but he broke my collarbone and 3 of my fingers. And that was 2 swings. The second I blocked. >.< I TECHNICALLY disarmed him by kicking his knee, then he dropped the pipe. Both drunk and sloppy as hell, it was embarrassing for both of us till someone got hurt.

+Nerd Explains - I have the sneaky suspicion that Salim is stuck in an anatomically incorrect body. His brain is probably located in such a spot that he loses a little of his grey matter with every wet fart. Otherwise, there's no freaking way he would believe that the cult leader would bring back his children instead of his own sibling. Besides, I think it was the leader who fed them to the demon in the first place. In Salim's shoes, I'd put a gunpowder-propelled metallic projectile through the leader's cranium and then try to bargain with the demon myself, while holding the protagonists hostage. It would be a stupid plan, sure, but it would still have a greater chance of succeeding than believing the owner of this discount version of The Overlook Hotel would resurrect the children. Also, side note - does anyone else feel like this story has somewhat of a similar villain to the first episode of Cabinet of Curiosities (hosted by Guillermo del Toro)? There, the villain used his own sister as the vessel of an Eldritch monstrosity he summoned, to gain wealth. Maybe the hotel owner here did something similar? He does seem evil enough to do something like that!

The car tailing part makes me think: If you happen to have eggs thrown onto your windshield while driving, *DO NOT* use the wipers nor the windshield washer, as it will spread it onto the window and make it impossible to see through. Keep driving, and *DO NOT* stop at the next parking or rest area: The accomplices of the egg-thrower will be there waiting for you. Keep driving for a while and stop to wash away the eggs by hand.

The rope descent actually sounds pretty easy, especially with something soft like bedsheets. Granted it's been a decade, but in highschool, I could free climb the bare hanging rope all the way to the gym rafters because THAT was the easy part. The part that SUCKS is "sliding" (it's more like scouring) yourself down those rough 2" wide polyfiber ropes that have been in the gym since the 1960s was like holding onto a tube of steel wool as it skins your arms and legs on the way down.

Meanwhile my hometown of 1300 tends to shut down a few times a year due to severe storms having a nasty habbit of knocking out power for hours or dumping upto a half inch of ice overnight. Or that one time we got 3 feet of snow in 4 hours that knocked out power for almost a week when the roof of the 100 year old power station caved in.

If you are trying to wake up someone and they won't wake up (especially if you are checking for a overdose) do a sternum rub. Rub your knuckle on they sternum it is a bit painful but it will wake people up.

Most new cars, in Europe at least (not sure if it's the same with American cars to?) don't even HAVE a spare tyre. They'll either have a space-saver designed to just get you home or to a garage, or they'll have a can of one-shot re-inflating foam. BMWs often have Run-Flat tyres..... but those are just shite

The stupidest part of this whole movie was the nail in the doll part. Only in a movie where the plot requires it would that have ever actually worked. The guy was so dumb that he had 15 feet of road, but ends up running over the one quarter inch area that would puncture his tire? Putting one nail in the road is highly unlikely to puncture a tire. It’s why police have spike STRIPS, that run the length of the road. They don’t throw individual spikes out and hope for the best. They also could’ve driven for a long time with that stuck in the tire. Nails don’t immediately disable vehicles, since it’s the same principle as to why you don’t remove large objects you’ve been impaled onto or stabbed with, since the object is corking up the hole.

Not sure why. Vegetarians just don't want to kill for food; they'll still eat cheese and eggs and whatever. It's only some fringe vegans who end up (ironically) abusing animals by depriving them of the meat they need to survive. Hell, once replicated meat cells a la Upside become the standard, we'll basically all be vegetarians anyway. No more murder necessary to have a delicious steak.

First her car DEFINITELY didn't look like a junky janky piece of crap! She DEFINITELY had a spare but she strikes me as that girl who has no idea the spare is underneath a camouflaged piece of carpet in her trunk like all newer cars. Even my actual junky janky piece of crap car has a bald ass donut that will get me 50 miles further down the road that's for sure!

In the movie she literally says 'I used my spare a while back and I guess I forgot it." A lot of his commentary on this movie is weird, like he didn't watch the movie at all because clear dialogue says where they are going, why and why they did thing they did. Not that they don't make stupid choices. It just seems... to lessen the impact when half the things he's pointing out had fine explanations in movie/were at least addressed in movie whether you thought the explanation was too cliche or whatever, they addressed it. Similar for the phone thing. They tried to make a call when they got service only for it to give a 'all systems are busy' message. So I don't know what Nerd wants them to do about being unable to call the police when the supernatural looping timeline won't allow it.

"ghost town" >It's a city Ah, so this isn't a ghost town "ghost town", it's what people from New York City or Los Angeles is when they think of a ghost town. News flash, city yuppies, there are towns out there that USED to house hundreds or thousands of people that likely now house maybe a few dozen in some cases. That's probably fewer people than you see going for your daily Starbucks and that's the ENTIRE population of those towns. Hell, I used to live rurally about an hour from Washington DC and the population density of my area was about 100-200 people per SQUARE MILE. My street was two miles long and had less than two dozen houses on it. And I was living in a new-age boom town that's currently expanding by hundreds of homes every year.

This is so weirdly aggressive. But calling it a ghost town when there's a whole one car visible in a whole city is perfectly reasonable to say. She didn't mean it literally as in this place is rundown and deserted. She meant why are the streets empty in a giant city? Which they are told is because a storm is coming in and the whole city is locking up early when they query the receptionist. Nerd just took a line about the quietness of a city way too literally for some reason.
