It's no surprise that film school is incredibly expensive, with some of the top film schools costing over $75,000 per year. But that doesn't mean you can't learn to be a filmmaker with way less money and in way less time.
When I first started making films, I saved up $6,000 (or 2% of the cost of film school) and traveled the world, shooting one short documentary every week while teaching myself how to make films.
In this video, I talk you through my process of learning how to make films so you can put yourself through your own one-year film school - and for perhaps even less money than mine.
