These guys single handedly helped me CONSISTENTLY break 100 (yeah it was that bad) and almost get to breaking 90 this past year. and that was after shoulder surgery and only getting to play 4 times in 2021. I am so looking forward to implementing more lessons this year. Wish i had found these guys 5 years back.

I have the Titleist T200s. The set came with a 43 PW and a 48 GW. I added a 52, 56 and 60 Vokey wedges. I try to keep my distances at full swing yardages because the in between yardage is a weak point for my game. Thanks for all the great content.

Taylormade M2 PW (46*) and 50, 54, 58 taylormade mg3. Loving them so far. Seeing great spin on off speed chips and pitches. Much improved over the Cleveland cbx2 50, rtx 4 54, 58. Loved the cbx2 for full shots and how it blended from cavity back m2 irons to blade wedges.

As always a great video, professional and informative.... My wedges, in reverse order, LW 60° SW 56° PW 52° in my mind 3 is enough, if I can't produce a full range of shots with 3 wedges there would be something wrong. 😉 Keep up the great work guys.

Great video!, I have a MP18SC pitching wedge then 50, 54, & 58 SM8 wedges. Short game is all about finding a technique that’s repeatable then practice practice practice to control your distances. I used to dread anything less than a full swing distance with a wedge. Now I’m confident that I’m at least going to give myself a chance to get it up and down anywhere inside 130 yds.

My pw is 48°. I recently added a 52° to fill the gap between the 56° and then the 60°. I was unhappy with the grinds on the wedges particularly when I open the face. Having a shop full of tools, I was at ease with grinding away the heel so that the leading edge stayed the same height regardless of the amount of openness. It certainly makes my short game a joy.

Thanks fellas, I probably only brush the grass rather than feel the bounce contacting the ground. Definitely something for me to work on. I have a 46 degree pitching wedge and then TaylorMade 52, 56 and 60 lob wedge. If I do my part this generally works for me. I would not have believed how different or better one brand of wedge over another could be until I hit my mates Vokeys and now I’m ruined forever! Great content as usual - keep them coming. 👍🏻🇦🇺

Man, really interesting to see an overall solid player hitting partial wedge shots with a strong PW. I think especially with partial shots thats where a specialty wedge really comes into its own on generating spin even with wet grass. Amazing to see him essentially stuff his first couple shots after switching to the SW. It's so interesting that a major problem in ones game can simply come down to mostly a mental block on club choice

46 degree Mizuno blade PW as part of my iron set (125 yards), 49 degree Titleist Tour Model PW from my old set (110 yards), then 56 Vokey SM6 with minimal bounce (100 yards) and 60 degree SM7 with lots of bounce ( 80 yards). 46 and 49 for full swings. I actually keep SIX wedges in my bag. My iron set is the Titleist AP1's that have the PW set at 43*, a second wedge at 47* and then a third wedge that is set at 52*. Not sure which of those latter two is supposed to be considered the "GW". First iron set I have owned that had two wedges below the PW without either one being stamped as a AW/GW and a SW. As such I filled in with a couple of other wedges with the lofts of 50*, 56* (which is what I use as the SW) and a 59* that I use as a LW. I had the wedge that was originally 52 degree bent to 53* so that all of the wedges after the PW have three degrees of gapping between them. The yardages normally run PW/43*- 115, UW/47*- 105, AW/50*- 98, GW/53*- 90, SW/56*-82, and the LW/59*-74 yards. Now I realize that if I just spent time practicing with half to 3/4 swings with my wedges and learned the distances of doing so I could probably take out two of those wedges. But change is hard and I always prefer to have the club in my hand that allows me to take full swings. Usually whem I try to cut down on a swing and "finesse" a shot that is usually when I get into the chunks and thins on the shot.

Actually, 50 yards is my favourite distance with my 60 degree wedge. I use a 48 pw, 52 gw, 56 sw and 60 lw. Strangely enough however I always brush the ground in my practice swings with my 52 and when I hit the actual shot I often create a small divot even though I try to just let the club brush. Any pointers on that? Could be hand tension?

I have a similar issue with my irons and it comes from trying to hit the ball instead of trying to swing through the ball if that distinction makes sense. When I'm bad with this I just take another "practice swing" but with the ball in the way of it instead of trying to hit the ball.

yeah...closer isn't always better when it comes to wedges. I struggle with shots from 30-60 yrds so yeah, if I can't reach a green, I am always going to leave myself at least 70 yrds in.

I feel lucky to have signed up for lessons at a place that has an indoor launch monitor. I pitch the same with all my wedges and found my pw goes 60 yards, gw goes 50 yards, sw goes 40 yards, and lw goes 30 yards. Same swing, but 10 yards increments.

A 52 and a 60 for me. Might add a 56 when spring rolls around. That, or something between the 9 and the 52.

I end up long 80% of the time with short wedge shots. The ball literally jumps off the face! I'm consciously taking a short backswing, then using my turn to hit the shot. The squeezed compression feels amazing, but it's costing me close birdie opportunities.

My most common fault on these is decelerating. Narrow stance, open club face and lighter grip helps, but for me accelerating through is key. 48-52-56

We would actually say the opposite from our experience. Most people who are struggling with this end up over accelerating. We rarely see anyone decelerating.

got a 45 / 50 / 56 / 60 wedge set up. Not completely happy with this gapping. Rarely hit my 60 off fairway max distance, but probably 60yd, then 56 - 70-80yd, 50 = 90-100yd, P = 120-130yd. I bought my 50 to try plug the 100 yd gap, but it's a bit inconsistent and tricky to get it 100yds. But it has forced me to develop a half P wedge swing which going well!
