@Nate Barbakoff If you are playing fairly well with your current set (irons in particular) it might actually be more helpful to get a gap fitting rather than a complete revamp of the entire set. I've had the experience of fitting (Club Champion in NYC) for a set of Epon irons - which cost a lot - and still ended up going back to my old iron set. It's not that the Epons were bad - but they did not really improve my game. The issue I have with the fitting was they only used the 7i as a baseline - and they sell you the set. There was no lie angle fitting per club, no gap fitting to adjust the lofts per club, etc. Sticking with my older irons (Sterling Single Length) and working on my game shaved 3 strokes of my handicap (from 7 to 4) in about a year. The point is, I can play the Epons I was 'fitted' for - but I can also play my older irons just as well. Maybe a driver fitting would be more beneficial as the shaft, head, weight, etc could really make a huge difference in your driving. But again, if there's an opportunity to improve on your fundamentals first - say your angle of attack is too steep, etc - you might want to correct/address that first - THEN get fitted for a driver. Getting fitted is definitely a great experience - but after two fittings - I probably won't do it again - unless the fitting is really a complete run through of all the irons and includes a gap fitting as well so I can dial in 14-15yards gapping per club (or unless I just want to buy a new set again - hahaha). Hope this helps.

Thank you Luke 🙏. I’m devoting the next twelve months to practice, with the goal of becoming a tour pro. I’m working two days a week and practicing all day for the rest of the week, as well as doing physical training and Muay Thai. It’s hard work, but I’m really enjoying it. Your video was really helpful Bro! It’s great to know what I’m letting myself in for. Have subscribed. Best of luck with future tournaments. Maybe we will compete one day! 🏆

Always comes down to wedge and putter. I'm really thankful that I can go out and play golf and really enjoy myself. Not that I don't try my hardest or try and improve my game but I don't have to deal with that enormous pressure of having to win inorder to feed my family. I know some people feed of those pressure cooker situations, almost like a drug they need to feel that to play at that level. As competitive as I am, and I used to be excessive, as I mature I believe golf can be a form of meditation. Perhaps it might (depending on one's intention) be considered a borderline spiritual practice.

Interesting video. I saw a news article a couple years back, a young girl trying to get on the LPGA. She needed about 120,000 US to break even with expenses, caddy wages, flights, hotels etc etc She did not make it coz, if you are not in the top 20 nearly every week ,Or actually win tournaments you will end up stressed out and in deep debt.

@@afdkj Hi, I agree. I have attended several LPGA Honda Classics in Thailand. The crowds are massive but compared to the PGA the money is nowhere in the same league. You are also right about the Korean influence. Many play under USA, Australian and NZ flags but the bottom line is they are Korean. Thanks for the reply.

Great video man. I'm a pro golfer too and that's what I used to tell people whenever they asked me the same thing. However I felt like it sounded way too easy and not a true representation of what it means. It sounds like anyone could do it and that is not the case. I came with a better answer: you are considered a professional golf once you PLACE in a professional tournament and earn money. Being a professional is literally charging for what you do. Anyone can play in a professional event but not everyone can make a cut or finish high enough on mini tours to earn money.

Whaddup. Glad to hear things are going well. Had quick question. Length wise in general where are you finding yourself against the field? And just how crucial or a difference maker is length compared to short game? I know since strokes gained came out I want to say the whole “drive for show, putt for dough” saying was wrong as strokes gained is telling us driving is as important as putting. Thanks

I’m 33 and barely starting out. Be honest. Do I stand any chance at turning this into a career or am I just wasting my time? I never really liked sports, and never played em growing up but I’ve been getting really attached to hitting balls at the golf range. I want to play. Im doing whatever I can to get better. But is it honestly worth it at my age?

I’m a sophomore in high school and I would do whatever it takes to be able to play golf through high school, maybe college, and hopefully professional, It’s a heck of a long road but it’s time to grind every day, do you have any tips or drills that would improve my game?

My best tips that I’ve planned out meticulously and put all together are in my swing and course mgmt program. Dm me on instagram or email me for a discount code I give to junior golfers thats a pretty big discount 👍

Im trying to hit it further yeah but not going all out distance gain like some people are. If I gain distance but spray it into the rough it doesnt help me that much

How about qualify for like the US Open, do you know the rules on that? I just found your channel and I'm a 5 handicap but I was told that needs to be at 2.5 or better. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
