The part about “getting pretty for yourself” is so true 😭😭😭😭 I used to do my makeup and wear a cute outfit every day, even during quarantine when I never left the house lol. It made me feel SO confident and I always felt more motivated to do things/get things done! I’m finally getting back into that energy now, but for the past year or so I just didn’t treat myself like I was deserving of looking pretty. I started putting others first to the point of exhaustion (literally every second of every day I was people pleasing and stopped thinking about my own desires and importance) and compromised my own self-worth in the process. So, to anyone reading this, try to give yourself a little bit of time every day to do whatever makes you feel more confident and beautiful! No matter how you feel about yourself right now, trust me when I say that you are ALWAYS deserving of self-love and care, even if you don’t always believe it.
