I think true beauty for an older woman (I am 63) is to exercise within the confines of your limitations but really work on your emotional and spiritual sides because that never fades. A smile an expression of love and kindness I think makes a woman so attractive.

Hi! I'm 57 and coming to the end of a Limerence experience. Love is very difficult for older ladies as women are still judged by their appearance (I too am struggling with weight). I've been through a lot in life but this experience of Limerence really knocked me sideways. It pulverizes your soul. What I have learned is that some of us are just meant to alone with no "happily ever after". Sad but that's what Limerence has taught me. I think of the time wasted on him when I should of been bettering myself. True attractiveness comes from accepting your life as is and just letting things be. I am not a physically attractive lady so my personality has to shine as my appearance is lacking. Kindness, love, thoughtfulness and all things positive are what makes a lady pretty--it shines through. I have a younger sister than is stunning but she knows this and sometimes her visage reveals her arrogance, selfishness and conceitedness. She becomes unattractive because her being self-absorbed makes her appear unattractive. It's too bad especially for women to still be judged solely by their looks. We are supposed to have come further in our thinking in this society but women still struggle with a double standard. Be authentic and be yourself and kind--that should make any lady attractive.
