With as much as we are inundated with in our daily lives, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to be completely present and mindful of the people and things that really matter. In fact (and in fairness to today’s conversation), this podcast could actually be distracting you from what it is you should be doing.
Today, I’m joined by my friend Donnie Vincent. Many of you know him as an avid outdoorsman, hunter, and conservationist but we tackle a different (but equally important) conversation - being present and mindful of who you are and what you’re after. We cover social media, finding work you love, dealing with a lack of confidence, taking care of yourself first, and ensuring you’re focused on just the right things.

There is something about Donnie Vincent. He could be explaining his experience of filming a bowl of fruit. His explanation enthusiasm and detailed story is just so drawing and capturing! He Really takes me away from reality!

Ryan, dude I cannot thank you enough for this platform. It has helped me so much in my life and my masculinity. Being a young man is tough and having you wolves make it a lot more fun in a way I can study my weaknesses and strengths. Nonetheless, that’s just the few of the joys of why I am a fan! Keep up the hard work man god bless you and your family!

35.50 - Hunting gods roping you in - I took a sales rep on his first ever duck hunt years back. It just so happened that it was the perfect conditions - went to this marsh I like to hunt in and had to break a thin layer of ice to place the decoys. Sun broke over the horizon to this perfect crisp morning and the ducks swarmed into our hole like vultures to a dead Rhino. We literally couldn't go out and retrieve the ducks because the wouldn't stop coming in. Fortunately for me, the salesman and my brother were horrible shots so I got to shoot their limits too ;). After that he was so pumped up and talking all the way home how he was gonna go home and buy all this Duck hunting stuff etc etc. I warned him that he may have just had his best hunt ever and that most mornings are spent just watching the sunrise. Enjoy the sunrise - the shooting is just a bonus.

This discussion was awesome. I just finished obtaining my masters degree and I have been in a rut that is self created. Basically, questioning why the hell did I earn my masters. It didn't hit me until you started talking about the benefits of just going through some painful tasks. Admittedly I knew this but it hits different hearing it from others. Thanks....

some people these days seem to want the shortcut to fame and fortune. because they think that is where happiness is. everyone wants to be happy, obviously. and they want it now. nothing wrong with that, but they need to understand that happiness is found within, not without.

Who is Donnie’s crew? I assume they’re friends of his but are they film professionals as well? Did he have to train them in how to handle themselves in the wild? Or is this all just hand held and made up as they’ve gone along?
