You either live the life you want or live with excuses as to why you never got it.
“I suggest that you become obsessed about the things you want; otherwise, you are going to spend a lifetime being obsessed with making up excuses as to why you didn’t get the life you wanted.” - Grant Cardone

As much as this is good advice (and it is), finding the RIGHT goals for you will take trial and error and time. Being patient with this period is hard, perhaps even harder than achieving the milestones themselves, and it is really ever-evolving since we are not ever quite the same person as we were the day prior. So just be okay with that process too and strive as Socrates said to "know thyself." Thanks TAoI.

Life is a chess tournament. Knowing yourself is essential to take it where you want to go and not blunder life changing mistakes like so many people do constantly. Sadly understanding is only half the battle.
@Cordellium

@@metasamsara Understanding certainly is only one part of it. It's a not-so-favored take in personal growth circles, but an honest admonition of the circumstances of one's life absolutely does come into play for what is or isn't possible. Without springing into a discussion of nature vs./and nurture, there are genuinely some far better off and positioned better at any number of things than others based on the fraught topic of genetics (including IQ) and the formative years of someone's life along with how and where they grew up. That said, that's where the potential power of realizing that one can change their life over time and improve over who they were yesterday, not comparing to Elon Musk or the Jeff Bezos of the world, but being a better version of themselves a little bit at a time iteratively.

Largely geared towards the INFP but has some hints for other introverted types. It's also a matter of finding what works for you and generating motivation doesn't mean the sky has to be the limit either. Sometimes it's wise to acknowledge when you've done enough for one day instead of burning yourself out. It doesn't come naturally, the natural intuition is to get as much done as possible within that given time frame instead of saving a bit of it to plant for later use. If you're constantly burning yourself out and constantly stressed, your motivational level starts to decline. So don't do it. Be wise about it.

Great Video as always! People often overlook the powerful fact that our goals are only as meaningful to us as we make them. If someone finds meaning and purpose in dedicating their life to filling an olympic swimming pool with sand using only a Styrofoam cup - and they genuinely find happiness and fulfillment in doing so - no person on planet Earth can tell that person what he is doing is not meaningful.

I had a Dream that i wanted to be a real Chad where I was healthy and fit. But when i met a this man. He was on another level and trained me into martial arts muay thai. This was outside my comprehension of difficulty and he pushed me so hard into metal training that NOTHING was harder than what he was making me do. I thought everytime i trained i was going to pass out, which made me realize how easy being fit is. When I stopped muay thai, I always told myself that Running 20 kilometers was nothing compared to what he taught me. I was overly obsessed cardio so much that I could lose 10 kilos in 3 weeks.

My problem is I just disconnect from the responsibility of needing to take action. I'm fully aware of how it works in essence and often feel guilty for not addressing it consciously, because it feels like too much effort and like the reward isn't worth it. Got ADHD too so focusing on goals can be very difficult even staying focused on work of any kind. Displeasing tasks are nearly impossible unless under pressure to do it, but that's why I became a hikikomori lul. But recently I took a liking at crypto and it seems like a good way to make a living right up my alley and so far I'm not getting rekt after a few months, and it's very compatible with my ADHD and problems focusing on goals. I can make money by checking crypto related stuff all day in between other activities at home.

ADHD is not easy to deal with, I think it's smart of you to turn it into an advantage in your crypto stuff. Honestly focus more on maximizing your situation and removing barrier's. One of the mental models I came up with recently is "It's a lot smarter to remove resistance than increase force." It's based on newton's first law (inertia)

@3:50 “we all have the same 24 hours”- is such crap. Technically true. Reality- many many people have help- many successful men have wives who keep them fed and clothed, their house clean, the bills paid… Many successful people have mothers, partners, drivers, nannies, dog walkers, cleaning services, yard crew, grocery-getters, cooks and/or accountants to do life’s little chores- the dirty work. The rest of us? Have to take time out of that 24-hour block (and use precious and limited ENERGY) to tackle all the BS. (And waste time commenting on YT vids 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄-)

I disagree with the criticism of having a lack of time outright. Sometimes it is true that you can be simply overloaded and under resourced in life to satisfy all the commitments that you have been signed up. If there are two people doing a single job and one person gets sick then its just a fact that there is under resourcing and it becomes a battle of managing time and working more to try and cover all the work.

There is more to life than "Goals" and constant productivity. Nobody is ever reported on their deathbed as wishing they spent more time working. And it's not like you can go on a suicide mission killing everyone and disobeying every law while fighting for freedom or anything like that since 1944. It's really insulting and crazy to hear people are making up excuses for not doing anything great with their lives as if they were omnipotent and were the ones at fault.

Look... As much as I understand that you're trying to communicate a positive message here I gotta be honest. I disagree with you. I hate the word "excuse" because in our culture the word "excuse" has attached to it connotations that imply invalid reasoning. Just because an excuse may be an excuse does not necessarily mean that the reasoning for not being able to do something is invalid. Suppose that my life dream is to one day become an astronaut. Then one day I get into a car accident leaving me paralyzed from the waist down and blind. Are you really gonna tell me that I can still fulfill my dream of becoming an astronaut despite being blind and paralyzed? REALLY? See, I just don't believe that just because an excuse may be an excuse, necessarily means that it's an invalid excuse.
