In your "bad" clip, you sounded like you had a grasp of the fundamentals that I haven't been able to touch in 5 years of on and off singing practice. This is so frustrating. So often with online singing coaches I feel like it is assumed that I can do things my voice that I actually can't do. Like voice coaches take certain vocal abilities for granted. For instance, I have great great difficulty making any falsetto note. It hurts, every single time. I can't do the "it's-a-meeee, maaaario!" sound. Everyone at my work can. It seems like every vocal coach I see assumes that I can make a sound like that. It's frustrating. That's just one example.

If everyone at your work can do the Mario voice line , that means the average person can, which is the target audience of this video. I understand that you are frustrated with your work showing no yields but if you can’t do something the average person can maybe work on that before learning higher level skills. It’s like learning calculus without knowing addition

Hey Adam, great video! I can easily crescendo, but when I try to pull back into a decrescendo, my voice wants to stop altogether. Do I need to work on proper breathe support? I'm just not sure how to fix it.

I would have to hear this but it sounds like you might be letting the support go once you've crescendo which makes the decrescendo fall apart. Focus on holding your support right to the very end

I've been having trouble with singing especially belting. When I belt from chest to the mix I often push and break or crack my voice and ending up hurting my throat. When I can't hit a note with my chest voice I would just jump in to my head voice sometimes clean but often with a breaking sound. Also if I try to sing with my middle register sometimes there is like a certain note that I sing that produce no sound but I can feel the air coming through my vocal chords. If you may suggest, what are the things I should or must do, like what kinda exercises that'll help me to get over this problem ? (Some suggest lip trills, will it help ?)

Lip trills help i think, a good warm up will help you too, do not ever force your voice to hit a high note, it really takes tie to go there.

@Ana Rivera Nooo, your voice is unique and beautiful as it is, you just have to train hard and learn to use it, also, remember that being a mezzo doesn't mean you'll never be able to reach high notes or low notes, if you really train without hurting yourself, you'll be able to reach a wider vocal range.

Ok, here's what you want to avoid when selecting a voice teacher. Someone who can't stay on pitch, when showing you a vocal exercise. Someone who manufactures a vibrato by moving their jaw or neck. Someone whose veins show in their neck when singing something simple. Someone who thinks they are singing loudly when they are not. Someone who labels their video "How to Belt" but shows you nothing about belting.
