@KrayFN not quite. People are born with different voices. Different ranges too. Some voices will sound more aesthetically pleasing in the non high range or even the high range. Same can be said for low range. It’s all flown to how good voices would naturally sound. Everyone has a voice. And with the right training, vocal practice, confidence, skill, and control, then that same voice can sound good. Try a good week to a month of practicing your singing voice and it’ll sound more dope 💯
@CoolElowery

@Eos Dawn. For some things, I guess. Like body type, there’s endo, ecto, and mesomprph. And also insertions (aesthetics) and muscle size potential (which is usually guessed by wrist sizes). What I’m trying to say is.... Work with what you got, and that hard work will always be remarkable 💯

@@swipefn1931 well sort of. You can have talent, then you naturally have a head start. But that doesn’t mean you can get good when you don’t have talent (and even with talent you can still improve)

Hello man! Was never singer tbh. Since I am into heavy metal for 34 years I decided to learn singing. Not to be a singer but simply to know how to sing on my home demo since no one want to lose his time to mess with something that can't be sold. Sung even most hardest songs (i.e. chorus or half of song) years ago and my voice would drop after first lines and chorus, no strain but something more terrible. Followed so many YT coaches last months but it was impossible to understand how to free voice, how to belt, what's belting. 3 days ago saw your video. It was mirracle :) Started to practice 3 days my favorite songs, mixing falseto and chest voice. Today I finally understood how to sing Queen of the Reich by Queensryche, it was impossible before. O.k., I am not Geoff Tate nor i am trying to imitate his or anyone's voice, but I've found my voice (never reached high pitch without strain e.g.) that I have to train without losing it. What to tell, thank you bcs you were extremely, extremely, extremely clear and simple in explaination \,,/ Very bad thing happened because neighbours came to see what happened to that 46er after 5 QotR whole song repeating (that kind of songs requires a lot of energy and not r'n'b moderate tone that neighbours cannot notice), specially woa aaaaaah holding that aaaaaaaaah whole the time and vibrating :D My daughter was pleased by my singing for the first time :) Thank you master!!!!! BTW, I still can talk :)

...just to add. I would never dare to sing high pitched songs anymore without coach to correct me and see what I am doing with exercices. I am in doubt if I do it properly but simply don't feel strain anymore....

Hey Adam, can you teach me how to brlt properly? I want to learn how. I can do this high voice which I think is a head voice with I can control from a c5 until c6 but I don't feel the top of my head vibrating when I touch the top of my head, which should vibrate in head voices. Also, I can do the "Not by the Hair of My Chinny Chin Chin" in a rather midrange voice, but I am not convinced it is the head voice since I can make a sound which is way too high. Same as high as opera singers! And I have a weak falsetto, or maybe I can't even do a falsetto. I'm so confused. Also I try to belt Chandelier but I think I'm doing it wrong.

While this certainly sounds fantastic, it is really more of a brighter legit sound than belting. The 'uh' quality is characteristic of false fold involvement to resist airflow (the valsalva manoeuvre), whereas belting relies more on the contact area between the folds, which are kept thick by increasing the cricothyroid space, a very athletic action that actually provides a thicker sound than the speech voice. You can hear Idina Menzel do this when she belts - you notice that the underlying sound is "eh" or "ah" rather than "uh".

Hi Adam! I am having a really hard time whenever I sing in higher notes. And I don't know where I should get the voice. Also, in falsettos, I can't seem to sing using falsettos.

Why is my head voice so light? My low notes are fine and my mixed voice are generally loud and I've recently got my vocal range which is D2-A5 but im still trying to extend. But my mixed/chest voice is about C4 - C5 but around D5 I go into my head voice and it starts getting really light at about D5 but at about G5 it shoots back up again to a sharp, loud tone whenever I hit the G5. But from about C5 to F5 its really quiet and airy. Is there a way to improve this?

theonlycbaker practice practice practice. Your muscles for your head voice are probably really weak since you most likely don’t sing up there often. Just keep singing up there, and you’ll hear it strengthen. It’ll sound bad at first, but it’ll improve.

Do you mean head voice or a heady mixed belt ?

My headvoice/falsetto used to be very light as well but as I started to sing up there a lot my head voice is much much stronger. I recommend trying to listen to a couple songs by miguel since he has tendency to hit really really high notes and practice to his music cause his music is very helpful

@@jaimechavez300 Just a note but head voice and falsetto are very different . Lol Head voice is better since it's connected and can be resonant

Some people refer to head voice as compressed falsetto or like a head dominant mix, I can use the mix the way you advise but it sounds like sam smith so very nasally and quite light but when i belt I sound very chesty basically is there a way to add notes to my chest voice belting or like a chest dominant mix? I can belt chest voice to G4# ive tried different things but I have barely made pitch on the A4 I want to hit the B4 consistently as most of the songs i listen to have a chesty A4 or B4 can you help or make a video about this?

Unstrained I'm a B1 (second lowest B on piano) to F3 (right above middle C) in chest register. When properly warmed up and using proper technique and everything, I can get to a G or G# on the top and about an A on the bottom (not counting false-chords. In that case I can get down to about a C0 [lowest C on piano]). I'd like to get to the higher belting ranges for Rock/Metal stuff though, but it's hard, being a bass. Tips?

Sometimes in the morning i can hit Bb1 without vocal fry. I'm 16 and i think that i am bass-baritone. I cant sing high. My voice breaks in range around B3-D#4. They say.. "Always breath with your belly" But when i inhale i feel tension in neck, so i breath 360. sry for bad english. Here is fragment of my singing: instaud.io/1MRH

The question of the most probable (from the physiological point of view) mechanism of belting in the "thoracic" and "head" registers. Let us consider step by step several vocal positions and mechanisms, and then, we will combine some of them to get a vocal reception of belting. 1) a) The "head" register is deregulated by the sclero-arythmoid muscle. b) The "thoracic" register is deregulated by the shield-cricoid muscle. 2) a) opera vocal position (analogue of Russian speech). Soft palate like a dome (arch), the root of the tongue is maximally down, the sound is directed through the mouth. b) Accentuated "twang" or sonorous nose (analogue of American speech). Soft palate as a dome or oval (more flat than an arch), the root of the tongue is maximally upward, the sound is directed to the nose. c) Open (wide) "twang". Soft palate as a dome or oval (more flat than an arch), the root of the tongue is slightly elevated, the sound is reflected from the nose to the mouth. d) Drive-amplifier-modifier of sound. The main tone is given by true ligaments with incomplete closure (falsetto- "head register", subton- "thoracic" register). The exhausted excess air is compressed by false ligaments (the mucous tube over the true ligaments) for a louder and more sonorous sound. Presence of nasal sound (facial expressions similar to cat's face) when balting I hear very well, because I speak Russian (similar to the vocal operatic position). Belting, in my opinion, is the use of wide twang with light compression (drive). What do you think of it? Your opinion or your version of the mechanism?
