I made terminals that plug directly into a wall socket. Take 2 short pieces of solid copper wire and hit them on the ends with a hammer until a blade shape is formed that fits into both a wall socket and the terminal.

Very Good, Thank You, And 1 Tip To Add, Is If Your SAFETY SWITCH ON THE LID Is Off Center, And/Or The Lid Is Distorted, Keeping It From Contacting The Switch, The Auger Motor WILL NOT TURN, I Do Not Recommended It, But I Bypassed Mine This Can Be Checked Easily, By Kneeling Down, With The Lid Open, And The Machine Turned On, Reach Up And Press Down The Safety Switch As you watch the Auger, and Remember This Is 1 REVOLUTION PER MINUTE, So It will move VERY SLOW

That's great for a cold auger motor , what about once it heats up ? do you have a test that is reliable to test the windings. The reason I ask is, I came across an auger motor that tested fine this way, was strong for about 10 minutes but then it stopped/ right away I figured dirty stove, bad vac switch, possibly a bad low limit/proof of fire switch which I tested and or changed restarted the stove ran again this time for about 5 minutes, I quickly pulled the power wires from the auger motor and used my direct line voltage wire and would you believe , no auger ! The auger motor was so incredibly hot it just quits until it cools off , then will run fine for a few mins or until it reaches that temp.

I did mine,and when i use plies to stop it,it goes the other direction...Is that normal?? Love the information and its easy and basic...THANK YOU.

Nice video. Informative. I have a GE refrigerator. The auger motor turns. It can dispense ice sometimes. But more often it jams. If i hold the auger with hand and simulate ice dispensing mode, i can easily stop it with hand. Basically it can not take enough load. Is that a Bad motor assembly (including gears) issue OR Circuit Board issue Or Bad Ice bucket hardware? Just want to conform befiore ordering new auger motor.
