In this PotomacBeads tutorial, you'll learn how to bezel around a rectangle crystal using only seed beads to make a pair of striking earrings. These Bezeled Rectangle Crystal earrings make a real statement as they sparkle and shine with your every move.
1. Start with about five feet of thread. Put four 11/0 seed beads onto the needle and go back through the first three beads to create a circle. Add three more beads and go through the bottom of the bead that the thread is coming out off. Sew through two of the new beads and add three more beads. Continue the process until you have 20 units of right angle weave.
2. Watch the Bezeled 13x18mm Rectangle Crystal tutorial with Allie see how easy it is to follow along with her step-by-step directions.
3. Add a wire guard to the top of the piece. Sew the thread back towards the starter thread, tie off and burn down the ends. Add the earwire.
Bezeled Rectangle Crystal earrings are easy to make and would make a beautiful gift for someone. If you are new to beading, don't worry! The PotomacBeads tutorial will guide you through the process and soon you will have your own pair that you can be proud of, they are perfect for any occasion, whether you are dressing up for a night out or just adding a little something extra to your everyday look
Enjoy using this jewelry-making bead tutorial video to help you become a more creative and happier beader!

Beautiful design-and it was enlightening to see RAW used as a base for the bezel. I think I'm going to have to try this. Thanks, Allie, for sharing this project with us.

So, SO BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for this tut. Huge help. Supposing I choose to use a different size rectangular stone or rivoli, would a general rule of thumb be to just make my CRAW loop is big or small enough for the cab, but making sure the # of RAW units in the circumference is divisible by 4?

Very pretty. I have a question. How many rows of weaved beads do I need to make a 9x7mm rectangle stone? Thank you so much for showing step by step. Keep up the wonderful work.

Very nice! I noticed some viewers had difficulty seeing what you were doing. Most late-model laptops/floor models use Chrome--Chrome offers a magnifying glass app, which helps me immensely, as I have vision problems as well. LOL, sucks to be older than dirt, but I'm very fortunate to have a computer geek for a son! Hope this helps folks!

There is a slight difference due to the step, You will just need to adjust the amount of beads for the steps

How do you determine the number of right angle weave units to begin with?
@Potomacbeadco
@Potomacbeadco 4 жыл бұрын
It's a calculated best guess, then a test run, adjusting and restarting as necessary.

The camera is to far away or maybe you should show corner with larger beads. I could not see what you were doing. As you do tend to talk very fast I do tend to count on the visual to follow you. 🙄
