How to bleed Jaguar XJS Teves ABS Brakes. These brakes get bled in a slightly different way from normal brakes. Here is a complete guide to bleeding the high pressure side of the Teves ABS brakes in a Jaguar XJS.

Hi Adam Just used your video to bleed my new Barn find. "Natasha" that also has a Teves system. Did a search and your video came up number 1. Made a mess of it first time using a sucker on the nipples. It pull out the old fluid but left the system full of air. Ended up being a big job. At least the accumulator and motor are working. Thank you very helpful! TJM

Maybe a quick video on how to flush the brake fluid on the Teves brake system. Want to do my 1995 XJS....keep up the great instructional videos...

Very useful video for XJS owners! My XJ40 needs a rear right wheel bearing replacement. I did the left side a few weeks ago. Then, I'll use it a little more until the Halloween and it will go to sleep for the canadian winter.

Winter is coming here soon too. My XJ40 will hopefully be getting a lot of little things fixed this winter so it's ready for spring again.

Glad you liked it! It's pretty easy once you know how to do it. The rears are really a breeze to bleed with the help of the ABS pump

@@LivingWithAClassic more than I can say for Ford's ABS system, you have to use a scanner tool to auto bleed those electronically!

Hi there. This year I resurrected my 94 XJS which had been laid up since 2017 with rotted floors. It is now up and running and I’m paying more attention to the details. When starting up the two brake warning lights come on and then go off as you describe. However, they also come on when applying the brakes. Is this normal? Thanks for this great video.

Can you use a pressure bleeder like the motive power bleeder?

No, not a good idea as the pump provides more than enough pressure to force the fluid down the brake lines and a pressure bleeder will probably blow the low pressure line between the reservoir and the pump and spray brake fluid over the rear of the engine compartment, not good!!

Hey Adam, Do you know anything about the teves mk iv-gi I got a message from someone saying this... 96 XJS Celebration 4.0 I was driving it was great until all of a sudden the brake pedal went down than was ok again and than went down like it lost it’s pressure. I smelled a slight burning smell but didn’t see any leaks
