Gaming is unhealthy was what people said, yet. When there's guides about gaming, it's literally more informative than some fitness channels. My water intake increased by three times drinking 4 liters of water before and alot more during. Having an exercise routine to clear my mind changes my game, and life. It's awakened my passion for learning, all in all, I'd like to thank gaming for being a 3rd parent.

yeah gaming gives a positive feedback in a fun way. When you do physical exercise and go on a healthy diet, video games will reward you by letting you win more games and getting higher ranking. this motivates you to exercise more and eat more healthy which in turn, will make you win more games, thus creating a positive feedback loop

I think the unhealthy part is less about the video games themselves and more about the fact that you are going to be sitting down for long periods of time. Also it can be quite damaging to your wrists if you do not take care of them (as I did not do for a long time).

I think the reason gaming has be stapled as unhealthy is because as soon as someone thinks of a "gamer" everyone thinks of the typical 15 hour sitting down not moving eating doritos and drinkg 8 litres of cola every single day doing nothing but sitting still, which i think now-a-days aint the case, atleast for me and my friends and everyone i know basically

Honestly though, even when I react fast, I get super jittery sometimes and overshoot to the side Reaction time is fine, but hand eye coordination is an integral part to becoming a better player as you stated. I think there's a quite simple, perhaps a little more effective method, perhaps a little less effective method. Eat whole foods. In other words, do not eat proccessed foods. Our bodies are not meant to have them and they deprive us of nutrition by providing very little of it and restricting our uptake of micronutrients by being calorically dense. Assuming body fat percentage is linked to ''physical fitness and health'' then avoiding calorically dense foods is another benefit to those trying to improve their reaction times as well.

@Prosper Very informative video, thanks for saved time. But, tell me one thing, H-Bench results are overexaggerated -> 213ms - 173ms - 153ms following in order -> 60Hz - 144Hz - 240Hz, and ms gap in fps -> ~16.5ms - ~7ms - ~4ms, so comparing 60Hz & 144Hz with 240Hz, maximal delay caused by refresh rate difference is ~12.5ms & ~3ms in comparison to ~4ms refresh rate of 240Hz monitor. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not 100% sure the calculations I'm done. ALSO there is difference in internal delay comparing cheap ones to expensive monitors. My monitor is low-mid range price 60Hz & 7ms internal delay, so expensive ones have little more to do in field of internal delay improvement. I'm awaiting for your response. As I don't have notifications ON, pls tag me or sth else...

So in 60Hz monitor you can have discrepancy of ± 8.33ms from average which result in min - max difference 16.66ms results, For example once you could have 173ms and other time 189/190ms.

@ProsperAims
@ProsperAims 3 жыл бұрын
Reaction.exe is more accurate imo. People like Serious and aimer and many others agree with me on this as well. since mouse movement is involved and it isnt really aim related so accuracy doesn't matter much. that reaction time program is weird, if I try to be relaxed and aim smooth like i would in an aim trainer or ingame i get reaction times of 200+ ms. And if i try to react to the targets movements as fast as i can i got reaction times from 164 to 175ms but the average distance to the target was worse. The run I aimed the best (3.8° avg distance to target) was the run with my worst reaction time (207 ms). That run I tried to be as smooth as possible. The run with my best reaction time (164ms) was a run where i was super tense and reacted to the target as fast as i could and I had 4.0° distance to the target wich was about average for me.

Thank you for the video. I would appreciate it if you react to my comment. The average reaction time stated is around 200-250ms and pro players can have a reaction time around 150ms. Looking at the study resulted that you showed. The average reaction time of the young canditates were around 430ms... so the base reaction speed was really slow to begin with. The post result were like 5/10ms faster. Having even a little bit of an improvement is something but you want it to be a notable difference... I might try it but the study results from what I see is not good… (correct me if I am wrong)

I find reaction.exe to be kinda meh because it only measures when do you move your, not even if you did it in the right direction. You can move your mouse erratically and get a better score if you get good rng. I much rather play a kovaaks tracking scenario and record the gameplay at a high framerate and measure the average vrt by counting how many frames it took me on average to aim back to the bot when it changed directions. With reaction.exe I got 123ms while playing as intended and 86ms just by moving the mouse erraticaly. With the kovaaks method I measured that on average it took me 16 frames (recorded on 120hz so 128ms avg) to react. Reaction.exe isnt necessarily bad but it can be cheesed to a certain extent

Hmm. Back when I was practicing reaction time (really testing supplements), I was getting averages in the 130s and 140s (there is a video on my channel), but my monitor is an old piece of junk (2007 flat screen) that maxes out at 60 Hz. And I was in my mid 40s. I wonder what I would have done in my 20s with good hardware. Actually, it probably would not have been much fun, because I likely would be getting some sub 100 clicks that would not register. My mouse is also rubbish because I am a lefty, and hold my mouse odd too. I haven't changed out my monitor because I like the colors and I prefer the old aspect ratio. I don't like the wide things. I like more height. Also, I play bullet chess rather than point and shoot games. My audio reaction time is absurd. It averages around 74 ms. I would have been hatting life as a sprinter. I would false start every time...well, nearly. I often get over 30 clicks in a row below 100. So maybe 1 out of 30 races I would not false start. Or maybe I would just have to watch a sprinter beside me go, and go after them? Kinda hard to ignore a gun. Need good earplugs.

Back in my 40s, (when I was 26) I would consistently hit 20ms when I was at my peak (in my 20s) but honestly my tennis reaction time is insane (roughly 90ms once in a while) I don’t think baseball would work for me, since bouncing a ball itself is hard already lol… would probably need a robotic arm, I haven’t changed keyboards in over 13 years since I enjoy the mush layer underneath. My mouse is quite heavy and wide which I enjoy, however it is a piece of junk. My height hasn’t changed (5’6) but I do feel myself getting taller, maybe an NBA career in the future? We’ll see…

Yes, mainly fiber. Good thing for us nitrates remain! Even flavonoid from blueberries remain as well.

good question, but no sadly. There is a diminishing return. It is possible that the same test result could have been a 140 or 130 on a better monitor no way of knowing unless you try though.
