What are the pros/cons of this box grader vs Harley rake?

When going forward try keeping the toe off the ground about 1” and the heel down the the opposite when going in reverse. I use these in Prudhoe bay AK on loaders

seems to work good how you were doing it, cut going forward, level back. sure makes quick work of it

So do you ever wish the blades were adjustable? Like up and down? How about angled?

Are you using down pressure ? Can you use the float switch ?

Need a tilting hatch on the track loader

Hey new to your channel and enjoy the videos but looking for advice on a ctl. I'm wanting to get into mulching and clearing land w one and wondering what brand machine you'd suggest? I'm stuck btw bobcat, cat and John Deere since all 3 have dealers close by. I'd like to mostly do mulch/clearing but want versatility to be able to handle any job to stay profitable. Thanks!

when you use this or even the harley rake to fix and grade how are you crowning or pitching the road? cutting high spots and filling low spots doesn't fix the washboarding or potholing just delays until you have to grade it again. Looks like a great attachment, but i'm just wondering about finish grading with it. also how well does this thing work if you have any large gravel or small rocks? does it just drag it looks like the box would hold it in

I think the Harley rake works better to bust up the pot holes and fill them, where as the scraper just skims over top of the pot holes and fills them but the pot hole is still there beneath the surface.

This is not the proper way to grade with a machine. Back blading on float does nothing for the finish other than make it pleasing to the eye. When grading you should always use the cutting edge under hydraulic pressure as this ensures that you are still compacting the surface as you cut and fill. If you do finish off with back blading I would recommend that you either track or roll it in as this will extend the lifespan of the finished job and ultimately save you money in the long run. I have been operating heavy plant since 1990 in both Military and Civil Engineering.

Have you tryed to move one blade forward and the other blade backwards so the cutted material moves inside the box like first blade moves it to the right side and the other to the left side? looks good the Dura Grader.

Do you ever use it in float mode?

Up there in order to be in business do you need to have a land clearing and grading license ? Down here in Florida you have to work for a state certified contractor for 2 years and then take a test, the only thing is no contractors hire people for more than 6 months if at all most of them keep it with there good old boys. I have talked to hundreds of people and none has even been close to taking a test to get the licenses. Almost seem like a Florida only thing to keep new contractors out.

Are the blades pretty much a cutting edge like on a plow? Could you show us a pic of the under side?

If I had a skid loader, this would work wonders for the crappy road out in front of my house. Problem is, all I've got is a dead Ford 8N and a Ford 9N with a bad cooling system and seized front loader.

works well but slightly too wet you reckon, you can finish a big area quickly! are you rolling this when it's done?

That grader doesn't seem to be able to tilt, so there is no way to "crown the road" for better drainage. I've seen those tilt skidsteer plate adapters to make any attachment tilt. Ever used one?

Is that a new skid steer or your you renting it
