How to breed bettas! Using tubs

After trying single pairs in my spare tank, I decided to up the odds and go three pairs at once. This might have a follow up part two with raising the fry but I haven’t decided yet. Let me know if you’d like to see that!

Been watching Kasia from Creative Pet Keeping whom I'm sure you're aware has also started to breed 2 pairs of bettas. Your males are beautiful!

@@booomkalani same. Seems Tancho is incredibly difficult to line breed. Can’t wait to find out!

I have been breeding bettas for years now, and I will say it is so much fun and so exciting setting everything up! I usually will use a 5 gallon tank to breed them in, But I have tied tubs and they do indeed work, just not as well.

Yes, definitely not as well and my next breeding project will indeed be in a 5 gallon! Just waiting for a better food culture to help with the first week.

Hi, Im trying to breed my betta. My question is when you breed them does the female need to be fat or have a belly or can I just throw them together and they will start breed?

A good sign is the egg spot. You’ll see a small white dot on the underside of the females parts. But most importantly just make sure they are mature enough and it should work. It won’t always and sometimes might end bad but slowly introduce them and try

It was a small success rate but I still have several of them together in a tank. They’re growing very slowly and I have not noticed any aggression yet. If I do attempt again, I have so much more knowledge and experience to make it a better turnout and will only do one pair at a time. They are super hardy though. I think locally bred bettas are far superior
