In this video you're going to see what it takes to build a 400 mile per hour streamliner powered by twin Hayabusa Suzuki motors. Kent Riches is a renowned motorcycle designer and landspeed racer. Today we are going behind the scenes in Kent's shop to see the progress he has made building this one of a kind 400 mile per hour streamliner. In addition, you will see and hear from automotive Legends: Pete Aardema, Randy Nelson and Brian Oluar and how they obtain success in building land speed vehicles. These guys are hidden pioneers and true masterminds when it comes to building complex machines capable of achieving speeds of over 400MPH. If you are a gear head, this video is right up your alley. If you haven’t already, please subscribe to stay up to date with the latest content.
This video was filmed using a GoPro 10 and edited using licensed audio files from the WeVideo platform.

Another jaw-dropping video filled with insider land speed racing lore. Only the land speed racing community fosters this type of collaboration and openness. Almost all the other disciplines shroud their activities in a haze of secrecy. These videos demonstrate why the term Salt Fever exists; all these LSR racers are happily living with the syndrome!

A Land Speed car with a Hayabusa motor is something I can understand. Light weight with plenty of power. IF you're building a car for Top Speed. Can't go to wrong with a bike motor. Very cost effective way to produce plenty of power. As much fun as something like this is. They can eat plenty of money. I don't plan on running any land speed records. But I am very much looking forward to getting back to racing my GSEXR down the 1/4 mile. Thanks for posting this video. Looking forward to watching more. All the best with the build. Peter 👍

G'day from West Australia, Greg😉 Another nice addition to the super fast club.🙂 Thanks for sharing . Shame I can't send you an email of a car I and a young guy built in 12 day's. Not that it looks much after sitting in the weather for years. Still have some photos and a couple of newspaper articles when it was first done. Working towards getting my hands on it again, itching for another run on a track 🙂

If those are stock LS heat sink smart coils just a warning if they go bad they change their dwell and go off at weird times when its running to save themselves changing timing. Sloppy mechanics lost 2 or 3 motors to them. Would hate to see awesome work ruined by coils. The other LS coils without heat sinks whether truck or car motors without the heat sinks dont have the issue.

Another great video and awesome content please keep it coming! One thing I noticed is you seem to have a tendency to kind of interrupt these guys with a new question just as they are talking/answering your prior question. I know you are probably trying to keep things tight and to a time limit but you can always do that in editing. These guys let you into their shops and their personal lives to share their passions it’s kinda rude to interrupt their stories they tell even if it strays off topic of your questions. Not trying to beat you down, I really like all the videos overall and will keep watching them no matter what. 👍🏻

Got to get out on the salt more. This is a new idea on an old concept 20-30 yr old at least. This year (sept10-14,2021) I saw a couple of bikes running two hayabusas and/or Harleys running in the motorcycle( 2wheel version of this build) streamliner classes . 1hp / 2 cc is a typical Target on the salt , classes are broken by displacement with records typically growing faster with more displacement. Got the opportunity to witness 16X mph on 500cc think it was day three.

This would be a great interview if the front man didn't talk like a total veggie. The builder of these things have a privilege where you taught yourself all you can before asking if a caliper is a caliper. Same when asking several times what happens with adjustment.positioning,tensioning.. There is time to learn lots more if you don't flounder at what is a wheel.

it's not your time, is it? It's that man's time and money and as long as he is nice to people he can do with it as he likes - and it seems he is spreading ood vibes, knowledge and wealth a fair bit, so why the hate? At worst, what they do is innocuous, but to many it's truly inspirational.
